Hiked to Ottensoos through hail and rain along the picturesque Pegnitz.. Rotes Haus had been recommended to me by a friend who was rather enthusiastic. Righfully so!The menu is enchanting, the prices are good and the servic is cordial. One can pass the (short) wait for comestibles by checking out the photo gallery or by choosing postcards to write to the unfortunate friends who were unable to share this adventure.After the meal do not miss the small and very yielding shop. Think souvenirs, think fashion, think... next christmas.!Have fun!

We had very good food and excellent service. Very good local cuisine and extremely friendly service. Would definitely go again. Don't order the small beer as it is very small and costs nearly as much as A big one.

Gemütliches Landgasthaus mit umfangreicher regionaler Speisekarte zu gediegenen Preisen. Sehr gut gekocht, vom Chef selbst. Freundliche Bedienung. Einrichtung aus den 70er Jahren. Im Sommer Gastgarten. Ãbernachtungen möglich.

We were invited to a birthday party of a family member on this occasion and had the "Bürgermeister" room to ourselves as a party of 20. There was a set menu but the dishes were of a very high standard and the waiting staff tended to our every need. I would highly recommend this restaurant for organizing a large special event.

The hotel is conveniently located just opposite the train station and is about a 10 min walk away. Compound to park is small. Room does not have air conditioning or fan so it can get stuffy. No lifts available so those with luggage will have to carry it up the stairs.Room is extremely basic and floors are thin so you are able to hear people walk around or when they close the door.

Very cosy restaurant nestled into the middle aged ring wall gate to the east of Lauf 's Main square. A large variety of mouthwatering regional cuisine dishes are served. I had a rather simple franconian Bratwurst, served with Sauerkraut. Perfectly prepared and served by attentive personnel. My partner had a Schaeufele, the typical franconian roast pork shoulder cut. Served with potato dumplings. All very tasty although a bit heavy on the stomach as a dinner. Very recommendable place.

gezellig bar/restaurant in een rustig straatje in het dorp. Bij mooi weer heel aangenaam buiten zitten. De gerechten zijn basic, zoals pasta's en slaatjes. Goed van kwaliteit, maar het grootste voordeel is dat je bij elk gerecht kan kiezen tussen een kleine, gemiddelde of een grote portie. Uniek, en met een grote meerwaarde vind ik. vandaar 4 punten waardering.

Wir hatten dort ein Klassentreffen. Ca. 30 Leute, Durchschnittsalter ca. 55 Jahre. Wir haben uns während des gesamten Aufenthaltes von 17 Uhr bis ca. 0:15 Uhr gefühlt, als würden wir stören. Die Bedienungen waren muffig und gingen zum Lachen wahrscheinlich in den Keller. Die Krönung war, als man uns kurz nach Mitternacht an einem Freitag abend (wir waren zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch ca. 20 Leute) mittteilte, daà man nun schlieÃen werde. Wegen Reichtum geschlossen??? Ich bin mir sicher, daà dort Keiner von uns jemals wieder stören wird.

Instead of dining in our hotel, we opted for this mountainside restaurant. What a great decision! It was warm this day, so we ate outside, and enjoyed the spectacular views. There were people flying model planes and also doing some hang-gliding just yards away from us, and this provided our entertainment. The food was good, too. My wife enjoyed a local Tafelspitz with a creamy horseradish sauce, while I had a beef roulade and a potato dumpling. The beer was icy, and the food was yummy. You couldn't ask for more!

Found the restaurant through the viamichelin. Went to the hotel/restaurant's website and saw they had spargel on the menu (White Asparagus). Decided to eat at the restaurant since I was driving near there anyway. Great choice. The hotel/restaurant was recently rebuilt, and is now very modern chic yet still Bavarian. It sits on a hill with a great scenic view. There's also outdoor dining for the warmer months. The food was outstanding. I had the spargel with ham. The dessert was great too. Fed two adults and a small child for 45 euros. I will be making more visits to this restaurant in the future.
