I'm a keen road bicycle rider, and the place had such a great impact for a first visit that I think I'll be visiting here more often! Really friendly owner, totally polite and made to feel at home, the food was really really good, we ate a half Kilo Bockwurst and it was sourced from a really good butcher, with a really delicious homemade Currywurst sauce plus delicious schwarzes bröt. Topped off at the end with an espresso. It was the best you could ask for and a perfect place for a stop off at the top of a hill climb. I really recommend if you are a cyclist or motorbiker, it really is a dream route, and a great stop off! the scenery leading to and from this place is great. I recommend the area in general for cycling and particularly this restaurant, it's really made a memorable time! Sometimes owners of small restaurants could be a little unimpressed when a bunch of sweaty road cyclists appear, but this restaurant I must say gave me an instant comfortable and totally at home feeling, great! Thank you for your hospitality and once again, I hope to come back soon on another tour!I have to say again, if you are a cyclist planning a tour, or a motorbike rider, be sure to get this on your stop off!

This restauration is good if you want a cup of tea to warm yourself up after a hike up Kindelsberg. The interior is rather oldfashioned and service is quite robust. It might be hard to find a table on a weekend afternoon. The viewing tower (entrance 0,50⬠for adults, 0,30⬠children) which is part of the restaurant provides nice views over the area.

Herrlich gelegen mit tollen Produkten der Region. Wir waren zum Kaffeetrinken dort und haben leckere Waffeln verspeist. Auch ein Blick auf die Abendkarte verspricht einiges. Wir kommen wieder !

Wir waren zum Spargelessen in dem Restaurant was einen rustikalen und einen gehobeneren Bereich hat. Wir wählten den rustikalen und waren sehr begeistert vom Essen. Super frisch, lecker und das zu fairen Preisen. Service war auch gut alles in allem wirklich zu empfehlen.

This is a restaurant with a certain rustic charm in a suburb of Kreuztal. It was recommended by friends, and so we went there for lunch. They have mainly regional dishes, sometimes with a modern twist, on the menu, and the food was delicious. The prices, also for the drinks, were more than reasonable. It can get full at the weekends so booking is recommended.

The service was bad and aggressive, unfriendly and the food was not more than ok.At the end prices was very high and we were charge for items that needed to be change.Ambiance in conclusion was bad.

We booked a private room for my birthday celebration last July. From beginning to end, all arrangements with Herr Steuber were top rate. Of course, the food was absolute perfection, but also the service, wine selection, personal attention ..... We highly recommend!

Sehr ausreichende Portionen mit selbstgemachten Schnitzel - sehr lecker.Wir haben die Schnitzelplatte für 2 Personen gegessen ( da werden auch locker 3 Personen satt).Nur zu empfehlen, wir kommen sehr gerne wieder :-)

A timber framed heritage building is housing a beautiful pub-restaurant. Menu choices are plentiful and varied. Staff is welcoming and helpful, dishes arrive without much delay.Food is well prepared and tasty.Many dishes represent German food of earlier times not necessarily found in to daysrestaurants. My son lives close by and alternatively dines at Pampeses or Engelbert.Pampeses is more intimate, guests are distributed over several rooms.Service is welcoming and fast.Food, German and International, is tasty and above average good.With the Krombacher brewery nearby that is the choice for a good draft.Thank you for the positive feedback :-)
