Sat outside in the sunshine and ate off the lunchtime menu. The choice was good and the mains we chose were delicious. Included was salad from the salad bar and desert. The lunch was delicious and good value for money.

Das Restaurant Venus ist im Schloss Nordkirchen - dem Versailles von NRW - beheimatet. In diesem traumhaften Ambiente, werden feinste Speisen serviert. Von Vorspeise bis Dessertwar alles köstlich. Die künstlerische Ader von Franz Lauter zeigt sich auf jedem Teller.Kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Very nice, typically German restaurant, which has been there for more than 150 years. The burgers we had were great! The waitress was very friendly. It was not very busy, but we can really recommend this place.

As our guesthouse restaurant was closed, we walked up to this restaurant for a meal on Monday night.We sat outside in the sunshine and ate some fine local cuisine. I had a very large smoked pork steak served with creamy broad beans and bacon plus boiled potatoes. First class and very filling. Three large bottles of chilled wheat beer washed it down and the price of 20 Euros was very acceptable.Very friendly staff too. First class

We were staying at the hotel and didn't want to driver anywhere (since we'd just spent 5 hours in the car). We were all pleased with the menu. The chef sent out a free appetizer they were trying out that was delicious and got us all hooked. The menu has both standard german fare as well as some more adventurous items. The wait staff was friendly and patient (we had to do some phone translations to make sure we weren't ordering liver). We had a quite outside table on a lovely fall evening. It was a great family meal and we would go again!

We stayed here for two nights during a cycling trip to see the Wasserschloss near Münster. We found out about it from the 'bett und bike' website and couldn't have picked anywhere better. Surrounded by countryside that is ideal for cycling, safe storage for the bikes, lovely ensuite room, excellent breakfast and we didn't feel the need to go anywhere else in the evenings, as the food and beer was so good. It was very busy with locals everyday but this just added to the atmosphere and it was great to have a seat outside, drinking beer, after a long day cycling. Staff were also very attentive and friendly, asking if we wanted refills when our drinks were getting low. Would definitely come here again.
