We were staying 2 nights at Nantes camping and took the tram into the centre. After a walk round the Chateau des Ducs De Bretagne and the cathedral we took the green walking route de Leon Blum and although we were heading for another restaurant we stopped to eat at the L'Ardoise. It's a small restaurant with a set lunch 18⬠for 3 courses and we paid an extra 2⬠for the cafe gormaund. Service was good and the food was well presented and had a slight Asian flavour to the main dishes. I had the salmon which was really nice and my husband had the entrecote Thai style. I love cafe gormaund and although not the best I have had was ok - 7 out of 10. We really enjoyed our meal and with a carafe of wine we paid 50⬠- about right for a city lunch.

I called in to ask if they served vegetarian dishes. The lady asked the chef who was happy to accommodate. The service was superb. They served a small palate warming dish which was a pleasant surprise. The starters were lovely. The main dishes were delicious. We had a fish dish which was cooked really well and my veggie main which was delicious. The dessert was the most excellent course. They gave us some beautiful cookies and biscuits after dessert. The drinks were served well, my cointreau had ice and sliced orange in. Very good place to visit.

Le Petit Boucot is located in Nantes close to the Graslin Theatre and has a 24 seats capacity. Our Chef makes a creative and generous cuisine, cooking local and seasonal products. All our dishes are homemade and we change our menu every day. See you soon!
It perhaps tries a little too hard to meet "Masterchef" standards.Everything was good, but lacked the "wow" factor. My Japanese raviolis and sea bream main were good. The cheese for dessert was okay. The serving staff were especially pleasant and friendly.I recommend reservation in advance.
