6 of us for dinner were greeted and seated efficiently, with wine ordered and meal orders taken promptly. However after this great start the level of service deteriorated as the night got busier. Meals were hastily delivered to the table, some to the incorrect persons, with no courtesy shown. The entree courses were well received with high fives all round. Main course was a let down, the steaks over cooked, the blue cheese sauce on the mussels not to be seen, the duck breast dry and lacking a flavoursome gravy or sauce and finally the Flemish stew not highly regarded. A pity we had to end on that note. Maybe a bad night, but we would not recommend on this showing.

Bistro Thierry delivered a great experience for our special occasion. Met warmly at the door, we were shown to a good table and assisted with some parcels and jackets. We had actually looked at the online menu (both food and wine) and decided what we wanted, so ordering was easy. Drinks were served quickly and with friendly efficiency. The fit out of Thierry's is something of a draw card in itself - certainly takes you to Paris! Our food was top quality - particularly the lamb shoulder: melt in the mouth texture. I can see why it is rated so highly, and would certainly support that.We are delighted to hear you enjoyed your BT experience. Customer satisfaction is our number one goal so it is great to learn this has been achieved on this occasion. We look forward to welcoming you back. Merci beaucoup!

A small, but outstanding restaurant with some interesting ideas on modern French food. The table service was top-notch and whilst the food wasn't cheap, it represented good value for money. Wine selection was also first class and suggestions made by the waiter regarding which wines to have with our meals were considered and worthwhile. This establish is well worth a visit- go ahead and book it!

First time visitor with 2 other couples. The first issue we encountered was that parking anywhere near this place was extremely difficult to find. All of us literaly drove around for 10 minutes looking for somewhere, This in itself would disuade us from coming back.The restaurant is quite charming, bigger than it looks with 3 levels including a private dining area. The hostess (I believe the owner) and staff were all very friendly. The menu isn't extensive but there are enough dishes and specials to suit. Three of us had the barramundi and the other 3 steak frites. The food was good, most of the elements & flavours worked. The only downside was the wine was very expensive for what was offered.This is a nice & friendly place, the food was good and we may come back again if we want to brave the parking.Hi there!Thanks for your lovely review. The precinct is certainly popular for movies and dining. With good reason! :-) We can advise that parking at the football oval is open again and is generally a safe bet. Chez Olivier at its new location is really singing! Our experience was great from beginning to end. Service is efficient and timely and very friendly (all the waiting staff had a smile ready). An interesting menu: we had a goats cheese entre wrapped in filo surrounded by a light salad, followed by the confit of duck. Both were delicious and well balanced. The wine list was adequate, although I would have expected to see a few more Burgundy wines on the list. No table cloths but it did have cloth napkins. The restaurant was very popular on the night we were there, and rightly so. A top destination.
