Perhaps my title says it all. The staff were cheerful and friendly, and our waiter made some good suggestions for activities after he had learned our interests. My wife had a marvelous sweet potato soup, and my ribeye was done to perfection. This was one of our best restaurant experiences this trip.

We ate here without checking previous reviews so we have no idea about how others felt about Franzinis. We loved the view of the castle from our table by the window. I decided to splurge and order the lamb shank. I was very disappointed and- although I was hungry- couldn’t eat much of my meal. The lamb reminded me of stringy gamey beef. It was served on a bed of potatoes with brown gravy. I didn’t care for the gravy either. On one hand I’d say I got exactly what I’d ordered, but it wasn’t close to what I’d hoped for.My husband ordered pizza and was happy with it.

We had a pleasant enough Saturday night meal here, but details let it down. chicken wings starter were tasty and generous. Scallops were a tease, with only 2 little scallops , and too much raw cauliflower. Beef cooked 3 ways was good, but needed a sauce. The room is spacious and lovely large tables add to the comfort. What really let it down was the service however. All the staff seemed rushed and distracted. The specials weren’t explained, finger bowl was forgotten, and plates were given to us without explanation. Being presented with an unsolicited dish can be delightful, but not when the server disappears as you ask what it is.... ‘the sorbet’ as she ran off. Still not sure what flavor it was. I’d be willing to try here again, as I feel perhaps they weren’t at their best this night. Hi Jcjc1994Thank-you for your very constructive review. We really appreciate all feedback & will work hard to make improvements to the areas you have highlighted. We look forward to your return visit & we will strive to ensure that it is more than pleasant. Kind RegardsThe Jules Team

I went here for lunch with some friends. We ordered lunch at 1.00pm. However we did not receive our food for 45 mins. I explained to the waitress that I was on lunch and was wondering the hold up was. She informed me they were very busy. I counted 14 people in the restaurant. Now don't get me wrong, the waitress was very polite and she was busy but as you can see into the kitchen you could see the Chef's were not pushing themselves. While waiting on my meal I did notice food coming out of the kitchen which looked lovely. Especially the pancakes. I have the bean burger which was quite tasty and this coming from a meat eater. All in all a nice place to go if your not tied for time. I hope they endeavour to speed up their service time.

Rococo Restaurant

We ate here last weekend..the salmon starter was beautifully presented and really tasty. We both had the lamb then which was also very nice. The sticky toffee pudding for dessert was a little stodgy. The staff are excellent, really friendly and polite..all of them who looked after us were lovely. The service was just very slow and the restaurant is starting to look and feel a bit dated.
