Kjempegod mat i koselige lokaler, anbefaler sterkt burgeren som er smakfull. Personalet er hyggelige og serviceinnstilte. Toalettene er rene og innbydende.

Dette stedet må skjerpe seg. Rufset bord med opprevne bordduker, gjerdeoppheng halvt avrevet, rot og rusk på terrassen, kjip mat og så selger de IKKE de lokalproduserte ølet fra Små Vesen som er av god kvalitet , men Ringnes har de. Det må da være et poeng å promoverer lokale produkter?

Excellent service, delicious meals with good sized portions, decent prices. Seems to be a popular place. We wanted to sit outside on the balcony under the birch trees in the lovely summer weather - but that area was full so we had to stay inside which was not as cosy; modern but a bit sterile. Total: will definitely go again :-)

Limited lunch menu with dishes relating to the Chinese kitchen by name only. Uninspiring ingredients poorly prepared and seasoned by salt - lots and lots of salt. Barely edible. Not recommended.

Valdres mathus is a café that sells bread and baked goods from a local artisanal bakery. The décor was above average, especially considering its unassuming location. There is also a play corner, so that parents can enjoy their meal after the kids have finished. We had a good meal here. We had two egg and bacon sandwiches, which were made freshly for us, using the bread from the local bakery. The egg and bacon were locally sourced. Two of the children had hot dogs and chips. They were standard ready-made fare. One of the children had the house sausage and mash. He was very happy with his meal.We finished our meal with two humongous waffles. We will definitely be returning.

We has just finished our visit to Valdres Folkemuseum and we were hungry. Munkekroen next door to the museum was just perfect. We ordered a real Norwegian meal: rømmegrøt (a type of pudding/porridge made with milk and cream and thickened with flour) with melted butter and with sugar and cinnamon sprinkled on the top. You always drink a red fruit juice with this. The second dish, also traditional, was a plate with cold salted ham and flatbrød (flatt bread). It was delicious. The server was helpful and professional. I highly recommend the restaurant.

We are just passing and they are on our way, and we were really surprised that they serve such high quality of food! Price is also very reasonable. We ordered entrecote and cook's favorite burger, both were superb! Service is friendly and the place is really clean.
