Dalga used to be my favourite restaurant for years. This year except for one of the standard waiters, the service was very bad. The food was ok I guess but not near what it used to be. If you do go the Shashlik was good and juicy and the meet rolls not bad. The hot peppers are pre-baked which is really a missed opportunity. Freshly baked peppers make such a difference. I hope they take their service and food more seriously and become one of the best restaurants in Ohrid like years before.

While walking through the old city, we came across this restaurant, Damar, which had an offer that caught our attention; a complete menu, 3 course menu, for just 300 den. Well, we thought let's just give it a try, but what a disappointment. The first meal was what the restaurant called a "salad", but was actually some separated cabbage, carrots and cucumbers. The main course was a tiny portion of either pork or chicken with "rice". When asking for the pork the waiter raised his eyebrows and clearly signalled to choose for the chicken, which gave us a terrible feeling before the main course. Oh I almost forgot, we also had one tiny piece of watermelon for dessert. I would suggest that you keep on walking through the old city and choose another restaurant

Restaurant was very busy, but managed to get a small table on the terrace at the front of the restaurant.Ordered some local dishes, including stuffed vine leaves for my wife. When it arrived it was cold, and I mean stone cold. The inside was completely cold. Called the waiter over and he replaced the dish, although he did not apologise. We wondered afterwards as to how the dish could be so cold. It was like it had come out of a fridge, so then we wondered what was happening in the kitchen. Not a great start.My meal was fine.Now there a lot of stray dogs in Ohrid, and generally they leave you alone, but a small one decided to go under our table. My wife nearly jumped out of her seat, and this was the final straw for her.So this was probably our most disappointing meal in Ohrid.

We had veal soup for lunch that was very good. We also had some appetizers and salad. Everything was well prepared and the service was nice. It is right in the middle of town. Lots of interesting decorations inside of musical instruments, ships, etc.

We went with a group of friends to Taverna Momir. We were seated immediately and our drink orders were taken. It is a nice sized space, right on the water and any leftover food is given to the swans in the sea. Our meal started out with a fresh vegetable platter which was delicious and shortly after, a delicious chicken dinner followed with two pieces of grilled chicken, melted cheese and mushrooms. It was delicious. Bread also arrived on the table-oversized buns cut in half with a garlic spread on the side. Dessert followed this which involved a chocolate walnut cake-a rhin slice with a cup of espresso which unfortunately had more of a cappuccino texture to it. The waitstaff was very attentive and accommodating and I would recommend. Friends of mine had the trout with boiled potatoes which they also liked very much.

We have had 3 dinners at Restoran sveta sofija .Restoran sveta sofija is situated on a very charismatic square near the Church Sofia and next to restaurant Via Sacra .Restoran sveta sofija is quite expectional and music may sound here played by a live band .The food is excellent at Restoran sveta sofija .The service too. We thank the staff and especially Goran for feeling great and having great dinner !

This is a wonderful little restaurant ran by lovely people. Do not be fooled by the outside/interior. The food was superb and very good value. Does not take card but many places don't! My partner had the 'fritters' which were essentially pork burger mashed up with bacon and cheese! Delicious! The chips were fab too! One of our fave meals of the holiday!

Restaurant Gladiator is quite an exceptional restaurant .Elly, our waitress, was soooooo very very kind !Before we started ordering she explained about the history of Ohrid . Quite unique experience that was .The view from the balcony onto the colosseum and Ohrid is beautiful !The food was excellent !

Kaj Kanevche , well, this restaurant is quite authentic . The service is very very kind , The food is GREAT ! My wife had chicken and I took cevapcici ( meat rolls ) The final we have was a double pancake which tasted SUPER !!!!!!!!!!The location near Lake Ohrid is beautiful !

We visited twice during our stay in Ohrid, once for lunch and because we were so impressed we visited again for our final dinner of the holiday. Food and wine choice excellent and quality much better than other restaurants tried during our week. Service excellent just be aware of the cats if you sit outside.
