Villa & Winery Mal Sveti Kliment, is an exclusive and privately owned Bed & Breakfast and boutique winery, located near the entrance of the old city of Ohrid called Lower Gate. In a quiet alley away from the traffic but just 50 to 100 steps from the lake and the most exclusive cafés and restaurants, the villa offers the perfect opportunity to explore the old city on foot and be close to shops, restaurants and even beaches. From our villa, guests have a rare opportunity to enjoy the marvelous views of the Ohrid lake, the quay and the harbor. The villa has 16 rooms with ensuite bathrooms, including a penthouse suite, that can accommodate from 2 to 4 people depending on the room category. The villa is equipped with central floor heating with individual temperature regulating in every room. What started off as a hobby, has turned into a great love and devotion to the Macedonian wine culture and tradition. As a small family managed winery, Vila and Winery Mal Sveti Kliment is dedicated to producing only the finest wines, made with great care, passion and the finest grapes! Our boutique winery produces only a couple thousand bottles each year. All the vineyards are located in the Ohrid region, a few kilometers from the city, near the lake and by the mountainside. The vineyards are small, traditional farmlands, managed by the family and by local agriculturists from the nearby villages. Every grape we use is handpicked when it is perfectly ripe, which ensures the quality of our wines. Due to the proximity of the vineyards to the lake, the unique climate of Lake Ohrid is very much reflected in the taste of our wines. This is particularly evident in Ohridsko Crno and Pamid varieties, which are native to these regions. We take great pride in our award-winning wines and our focus is exclusively on high quality and tradition. Our wine bar is built in a traditional stone style, where we even produce our Amphora wine by an ancient method. Reviewed By _steph91986a small hotel located in the heart of Ohrid old town. Note that there is no parking at the hotel, but the hotel can tell you where to park the car. Hotel was clean. Rooms on the average side. Price was very reasonable given how centrally located it was.

Hotel Villa Jordan is a brand new accommodation located in the center of Ohrid just in front of Ohrid Lake. It has an open private pool with sunbeds and umbrellas on site for all guests. The hotel features free wifi, flat screen TV with satellite access, air conditioning, heating and many additional services that make exceptional stay for our guests.

Reviewed By 944diyarkWe had a reservation with “Hotel” Villa Jordan for four nights. Upon arrival at 10.30pm, from a very long and exhausting day at Mavrovo Park, we tried to get into the reception to check in but the door was closed. I rang the bell several times and no one answered. I then proceeded to call their contact number. The first time I rang, they just hung up. I dialled again and a lady answered the phone and the first thing she says to me is that we’re late and cannot check in. I tried to tell her that I have not been informed about their reception hours and she said that she had messaged me on booking.com. When I later checked my messages on booking.com, I saw that she had messaged me at 2pm and at 9pm the same day and that’s the only communication I’ve had with this sh*t “hotel”. She said that she could not check us in and I started arguing with her. As we were arguing (and this is somehow really ironic) she came out of the main entrance (I think she didn’t want the other guests to hear it and that’s the only reason why she came out). Both me and my husband were appalled by such behaviour. I said you’ve been in there the whole time?! She then replied that it took some time for her and that is a straight up lie as we were on the phone for less than a minute. So, I still don’t understand why she didn’t want to help us and completely rejected to check us in, a process that could take less than five minutes. As I said, the owner and the service people are absolutely sh*** as I’ve seen how the owner replied back on guest reviews.

Quaint inn but has seen better days
Reviewed By Rhonda GWith a great location, it is in the heart of old town and a short walk to the lakeside shore. Rooms are tiny but they make good use of the limited space. There are white stucco walls, artsy overhead lights, wood carved headboard, wood beams on the ceiling and a pretty stone bowl used as a sink in the bathroom. One window handle and light fixture were broken - seems they have not kept up on repairs. There was a tiny t.v. There was no bottled water provided although there was an empty mini-fridge. A strong stink came from the bathroom at times and there was smell of paint on the ground floor and in the guestroom one afternoon. Additionally, the bathroom mirror had a crack across it right at eye level - a bit annoying. I also found a cockroach in my room the first evening. There are very steep winding stairs to access rooms. Beware, they only take cash. They do not have a kitchen and breakfast is served at a restaurant a short walk away. Price is quite cheap - you get what you pay for.

He suprised us and he made our rome the most romantic place in the world. He was also singing and dancing with us whole evening and made sure we had the great time! Rooms are very clean and the location is perfect.

Reviewed By Cunninghams19The location was very good, just a short.stroll down a pretty walkway to the Lake. The room was large, with lots of storage. There was a small deck, but not with a view. Our room was very cold, but the desk guy brought us a vey effective heater. The water was only lukewarm, but we did not alert the desk to this, so we can't fault them. The stairway did smell strongly of cigarette smoke, but the room did not. The price seemed very reasonable.

Outstanding friendliness and help
Reviewed By bexholmes80First trip with our folks and we flew into Albania, rented a car and headed for Lake Ohrid. Firstly, next time I would only fly into Macedonia. We got stopped at border and they wouldn’t let car through as rental agency had not advised we needed green card insurance to cross border! Anyway, we then got taxi the 45 minutes to Villa Chingo. Thank god I read lots of reviews and picked Villa Chingo because of how helpful everyone had said he was. Straight out to welcome our frazzled group. All three rooms had spectacular views. Ljupco spoke perfect English aftef10 years living in Oz. He was dry, funny and incredibly helpful but also not invasive. Even dropped us off at restaurant for dinner! Next day he drove us back to border and spent hour with us in Albania getting right docs and ensuring we were safely back into Macedonia. He organised a fantastic boat trip for us on the lake. I would definitely go back toLake Ohrid in the warmer weather. Beautiful place, villa Chingo was fantastic. Beds comfy, shower great and host first rate!
