My fiance and I are visiting Wilmington and we have a tradition to eat at a diner everywhere we go. After spotting Dixie Grill we were excited to try it early the next morning for breakfast. Upon arrival, it was super busy which should've been a good sign. We gave the hostess our name and then awkwardly waited in the front near the doors since there was little to no waiting room. After standing for a while we finally got seated and were ready to dig in. The waiter we had is the only reason this review got these two stars. The service was good, our server was very nice, the food however was the problem. I ordered biscuits and gravy which came out cold and my fiance ordered pancakes which were really dry even when covered in butter and syrup. Needless to say, we weren't pleased with the food and the overall experience wasn't the best.

This was hands down the BEST ham and cheese omelet Iâve ever had. Itâs was stuffed!! Itâs a small place that seems to always be busy. Itâs an must if you like omelets!!! FANTASTIC!

I chatted w/Anna, the owner, about her business. An icon breakfast/lunch cafe for over 40+ years. Hailing from Greece, theyâve worked hard to build a reputable business. She rolled silverware as we chatted-idle hands not possible in the food industry?Waitress Becky no sooner took my order when my DELICIOUS & generous quiche arrived, w/ perfect grits. She was engaging while busily attending to a full bevy of singles at the counter. Nice. Smiling. What you desire for your morning meal. Anything for breakfast your heart desires, incl waffles wrapped in bacon. Standard sandwich, salad @ lunch entrees for ages 1-101. They close @ 2...& most holidays. Make it a destination stop. Say hi to Anna for me...
