Everyone has a local favorite and reliable Asian restaurant (or several!) for taking away or the occasional dinner in. Expectations of decor and style are often lower because the food is quick predictable and pretty good. Such is Swan Lake but the last visit just didn't make the grade. I accept that they were very busy with some very big tables and the staff were working flat out but somehow the whole experience was tired. The food, the effort and the care factor just didn't make the grade. I will no doubt return in the hope the night was an aberration and all the great things that have been said before will remain true. Let's hope so.

New addition to the good offerings at this cheap and cheerful food hall. The roast brisket dish was as good as any American diner. Ample, well cooked and delicious. The pork ribs were not far behind quality and the servings were generous.

Shi Wei in Selby Street is not immediately obvious as you drive past, in fact I did a u-turn to find it! The parking area is hidden away behind.We were there for a lunch and the restaurant was fairly quiet.I did not find my favourites to try on the very limited lunch menu and had a different dish. ( The take away menu appeared more substantial !)The restaurant is clean and tidy and it is not interfered with by the busy street outside.The food was delicious.
