A wonderful menu covering all the essentials from tofu to coconut prawns. We feasted on Spring rolls (4 in the small serving, more than enough for two), Mongolian beef, sweet and sour pork, coconut prawns and fried rice. I can hear you saying "not very adventurous " but at the end of a long work day it was perfect comfort food. The flavours were authentic and fresh and complemented with duty free priced drinks. Try it!

A popular eating house operated by the Chinese Literary Association, Christmas Island
Fair distance from Poon San. It's worth the trip though. I have had dinner only few times but it's nice. Only deterrent for me not being there often was the distance from where I stayed on the Island. Food is expensive comparing to mainland Australian standards but from Christmas Island view it's reasonably priced.
The Chinese Literary Association (CLA) is now a great little place for a value packed meal. Located opposite the Island's biggest supermarket and just down from the Tourist Information Centre, Le CLA is easy to find, has good parking, and serves the best value meals on CI. You really must try the Iced Lemon Tea while you are there.
