My daughter and her husband raved about the food here. When she heard we would be by there she called in a carry out order for us to pick up. Let me start off by saying that this is truly Jamaican cuisine. The chicken was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of spice. The sauce was perfect to balance the heat. Rice and peas were cooked so as to not be sticky or dry. I didnât have anything else from there but the rest of the family loved their pork and also the bread. Serving size was plentiful. The only reason I couldnât give them a higher rating is because they are extremely slow. It took over 30 minutes for our order. If you have the time to wait, check them out. Itâs delicious!

This oddly named restaurant is meant mostly to be a convenience for the giant apartment complex it is in. But, it was between Dulles & home, and we were starving! Turquoise & yellow walls and island art brightened up a pretty nondescript space. The menu was interesting and varied, and our server was very flexible about letting me order a "combo" that wasn't on the menu, so I could have the braised oxtail and the curried vegetables. Apparently (she told us) the takeout business was hopping--it took a LONG time to get our food, although little cups of lobster bisque sweetened the wait. (It did not taste like lobster, however). My oxtail was terrific, with a dark, rich sauce that was very flavor able. The veggies were very good, but a slotted spoon would have made them less watery. I asked for NOT spicy & got it. My husband ordered jerk chicken NOT spicy, and it was at the upper end of our spice-loving daughter's tolerance. He had to take the skin off to finish it, but, to be fair, was probably not the best choice for someone who prefers mild food. Our daughter really enjoyed her Rasta Pasta, which had a coconut herb sauce & pieces of the jerk chicken. (It can be ordered with other proteins). Overall, a pretty memorable dinner!

The environment was good and the food was delicious. I suggest that you donât leave without ordering their tres Leche... make sure you pay attention when looking for the restaurant since itâs easy to miss.
