We are in Trenton about once every 2-3 months and always make a point of going to the Port Bistro for a meal. The food, the atmosphere and the staff never cease to amaze me. Trenton has needed a place like this for years and I am glad they finally have one. Well done Port Bistro. Keep up the great work!!!

DO NOT GO HERE..........unless you are really hungry !! You will be absolutely stuffed when you leave. The food portions are extremely generous. The food is fantastic. Doug is a very friendly guy. This diner reminds me of the ones we use to go to as kids. Great value and very clean and great atmosphere. Serves breakfast and lunch, open till 2pm.

Wife and I stopped by for some java and breakfast. Large heaping dishes of pancakes , butter and syrup. Fresh fruit and sausages and ham. Smiling? I certainly was. Welcoming staff and a great atmosphere made for a wonderful experience.

Ok. We have been here twice. First time was not impressive. Seriously lacking fish and chips. Kind of disappointing when this is the namesake and mainstay of your business. Second time had the chicken souvlaki. Friends has the fish and chips. Chicken souvlaki was surprisingly good! Tender and good portions. Our friends said fish and chips were ok. Not great but ok. Atmosphere is diner - like. Overall. Pretty decent grub for a decent price.

I have returned to the Riverbrake cafe to review it once again. I just can't get over the taste of their food. Today, I enjoyed a beef barley soup and a salmon sandwich and a date square for dessert. Exceptional! I didn't think you could improve on a salmon sandwich but I was wrong! The place is sparkling clean and that is only rivaled by the sparkling service.

I heard good things about Dapp's so I went for breakfast there today. Typical breakfast menu with lots of variety. Since I do not eat too much meat anymore they were helpful to follow my wishes. I ordered Eggs Benedict and they replaced the bacon with tomatoes and I got an extra portion of beans on the side. The dish came fast and it was hot and very yummy. A very pleasant restaurant in Trenton where we met for lunch with another couple who lived nearby while on our way from Toronto to Ottawa. Overall it was an excellent lunch complemented by excellent and very friendly service.I had the special, which was haddock with hollandaise sauce and roast potatoes and my wife had penne with vegetables and feta cheese. We all had dessert and enjoyed them. Everything was excellent.We will definitely eat here again if driving through or staying in Trenton.

Jim's Pizzeria is a favourite of locals and tourists. The Jim's special combination pizza is THE best and has been for 50 years. Pasta dishes are also great and the ceasar salad is also a favourite. What can I say about Tomasso's that has not already been said. I have been coming here since 1984. Always great food. This visit we had a group of 13 and all meals were excellent.
