Had lunch with my wife and our friend.Firstly amazing service the waitress was at our table with menus and drink orders instantly and very friendly and happy.We ordered the beetroot salad and two crusted salmon.The salmon was amazing perfectly cooked with amazing flavour, the beetroot salad was perfect very fresh and flavoursome.We are here on a short trip but will be back in again before we go such a great little spot !Keep up the great work guys.

Was really excited to try this place as the reviews say itâs great. How disappointing was it! All our meals came out with toast that was not cooked properly. So soggy toast all round. Not real good when you canât even get toast right. Eggs were cold and poached not runny.

A must attend. Very cheap prices, old fashioned service. Kids meal for $6 included eggs sausage toast and they gave us free baby chinos for the kids which was a nice touch. Food tastes great and presented well. Coffee is very nice. Dont walk passed it, give it a go and be pleasantly surprised

One of the reasons I was sorry to finish my vacation in Mermaid Beach was the loss of this little cafe on my return home! Every morning for three weeks we would stroll along the shoreline with our dogs, ending here for breakfast. It became a particular favourite for good reason. The greeting smiles from staff were warm and genuine, the fresh fruit juices and coffee excellent and the food reliably good. There were enough outdoor tables to find a good one to settle with our dogs and water was supplied for them. Plenty of indoor seating. Nice touch to have morning newspapers supplied bright and early. A star alone just for that! Easy parking if you need it in the carpark across the road or on the adjacent street. Easy access for disabled or prams but a step over and another up to toilets which might prove tricky. Lunch offerings were equally tasty and well presented. Not open for dinner. This cafe tilts its cap towards healthy eating without forcing it on their customers as many do nowadays. It is not glitzy or glamorous, quite plain really but does not detract from its excellence. Yes, Cafe Hedges, you will be missed by us!

My wife and I have been coming to BSKT on our annual trip to Queensland for the last 4 years. We enjoy the service, venue and quality of food. Especially the food. The Cardamom PodA wonderful vegetarian restaurant hidden in broadbeach, with a wonderful buffet selection of vegetarian and vegan food, as well as smoothies and yummy deserts. We had a wonderful selection of hot food from the buffet and yummy tasty salads. I loved that we could pick from a variety of options and they were all served up in their own dishes and bowls so great for sharing. We enjoyed the vegan moussaka, curries & yummy sharing dishes. We not only enjoyed the taste and quality of the food, but we also found the food to be of great value and price for the quality and size of the meals. My friend got the last tiramisu cake and went back a few times to get it again and l cant wait to try it myself. The food is super fresh and super tasty, we are not big vegetarian eaters however we will certainly be back and can't wait to try more options and combos.

I was staying in an apartment at Mermaid beach. Because of my late arrival, and jet lag, I couldn't sleep. Got up very early to walk on the beach and watch the sun come up, then wandered around looking for some breakfast. Found this place. It wasn't due to open for another 45 minutes, but the menu looked good, so I sat at one of their outdoor tables, reading my book until teh staff started to arrive. I explained that I was waiting for breakfast, and as soon as they were open, one of the waiting staff came over, to ask me which table I would like, and was very solicitous in making sure that I had everything that I needed.They made me an excellent omelette, and some very good sourdough toast, and a big pot of tea. It was all delicious. I returned another morning, and had a slightly customised version of their eggs benedict. On both occasions the staff could not have been better, the food was very good indeed, and if I'm ever back over there, I shall have breakfast there again. Highly recommended. (They do take-out and fresh baked goods too).
