This is a newly opened traditional Bulgarian Tavern on Bansko's main street. Unlike most restaurants in the area, this one offers an English-language menu and plenty of choice for Vegetarians.

We had a late dinner with two friends in this tavern, which was situated near our hotel. We received a great and fast service and the food was tasty.My only negative note is that the traditional Bulgarian bread ("Parlenka") is not homemade, but a simple Greek pita, bought from the store and heated.

As good a bar as Bansko has to offer, great central location for all the winter activities, very friendly staff, great decor and facilities, lovely menu, with special mention for the âhome smoked ribsâ just delicious, maybe a little expensive compared with âlocalâ restaurants but the quality makes it worthwhile.With various entertainment on some nights, with a well attended weekly quiz, Smokeyâs is the bar for everyone.

The restaurant is in one traditional old house. The garden is very beautiful. No childrens playground. The service was very good - friendly and fast. But we were a little disapounted from the menu and the cooking. We went looking for something very traditionall from the region and were expecting some very nice old school home cooked bansko dishes like lamb in stew or the Shkembe soup or the onion salad and some exciting local desserts ( like sheeps yogurt or crem caramel, etc.). From the outside we rated the restaurant between organic friendly and home made old recepie cooking. But unfortunately our expectations were not fulfilled. The menu was not original at all- no original recepies, no cooked dishes (except for guivetsche), just basic barbeque, no soups in the evening, no original home made lemonade, no meat in the Chorbadjiesko gueveche (except for a slice or two salami). Instead there were spagetti and rice on the menu, cheesecake and some other foreigner dishes. It was no possible to get only one scope ice - the portion is 3 scopes :) There were one or two interesting salads. But again such a restaurant should offer a home made sheep's/goats cheese from the region instead of normal cheese p.example. The tomatoes in the salad were really tasty like real garden tomatoes. Short: nice atmosphere, great garden and service and average alltought pricy menu and cooking.

What a gem of a place nestled in the Old Town of Bansko. Having skied for 6 days and eaten in our hotel each evening, we wanted something authentic and special for our last night in Bansko. We booked (necessary it seems esp on a weekend) for 7pm and were shown a table upstairs. Both the upstairs and downstairs have a great atmosphere, warm and cosy with big open grills in the centre. The staff were great- one guy was hilarious in fact and all spoke great English. The menu is extensive and everything sounded delicious. We shared garlic bread, stuffed peppers and a Bulgarian salad to start and then had the huge chicken and pork skewers and grilled chicken fillet accompanied by chips and vegetable rice. Washed down with 2 carafes of white wine, a beer, a couple of soft drinks and a couple of bottles of water....all for £60 for 5 of us! Great value for money and delicious fresh food. Not to be missed. One of the only restaurants in Bansko that doesn't need someone on the street trying to persuade you to go in. That's tells a story! Try it!

Visited with friends while on vacation. Big group of people. Service was more than fantastic. Fast, informed, smiling, polite. Unlike most places we visited locally. Food was simply fantastic. Large portions, well cooked. Couldnât find a simple problem. The waiters managed to keep everyone happy, what ever we asked for. Will not have the chance to visits again since we are leaving but just have to highly recommend this place. Prices very very reasonable. Well done guys.

Wonderful food at excellent prices and friendly service, what more can you ask for? The place is always busy and as soon as a table is vacated it is full again but service is still quick so you never have to wait long and it is worth it anyway.

Razlozhka Maaza restaurant serves great authentic local dishes, in a tranquil nonpretentious atmosphere. It's perfect for families with children (we were a group of 7) or couples, they have their own parking space, and though the menu is in Bulgarian, it has images of the dishes, and the English speaking staff is very friendly and helpful.Dishes we had:The stuffed bread with meat, vegetables, and cheese was great. They told us Gordon Ramsey recommended it and it's their house specialty ever since.We had another local dish, which I think was grilled meat with vegetable and cheese. This dish had a strong flavor to it. The lady at the restaurant told us it's an acquired flavor (we loved it - but it might not be right for everyone). The grilled meat on hot peppers was beautiful, tasty and... well.... very hot. We also recommend the creamed potatoes and chicken soup.For dessert, we had the yogurt with jam, which was perfect after a heavy meal.We had a great time at Razlozhka Maaza, which felt really genuine and not your typical tourist trap. We would definitely like to visit again next time.

Really nice place, authentic bbq and traditional Bulgarian food, friendly staff and helpful explaining the dishes, you can see the food being cooked. Great live music too! Thanjs agsun from the couple in the blue jackets!

Every year i come again and again when i visit Bansko.I know this place already 12 years.The food is as perfect as always but after the last renovation the restaurant interior became stunning.All arround is hand made like iron and wood details.

This pizza restaurant actually offers more than just pizza and offers a large varied menu. We plumped for pizza and were really impressed with the speed of service and the quality of the food. The restaurant offers seating both inside and out - we managed to get an outside table on a warm sunny evening which was a bonus. A lovely place to visit and the prices are very reasonable too
