This place has been several different restaurants, even BBQ, but this may be the best yet. We've missed good BBQ. Lots of great sides and desserts. Would love if they had a beef option but the pork is great. The sweet sauce was very sweet and the hot not real hot. Mixing them was good. Worth the drive.

I love Korean and I love BiBimBop and I now love this restaurant! Amazing food. Service is slow, but friendly. interesting decor, modern cement and wood (not the typical half hearted generic asian look). Clean dining area and restrooms. Prices are OK. Food was great and lots of it!

The barbeque is awesome! It tastes great and the portions are very generous. The ribs and chicken are great too. All sides we have tried so far are delicious! You can grab some tasty cheesecake for dessert. Great place run by some of the best people you will ever meet! Highly recommend this place!

We were driving from Kentucky to St. Louis and wanted to experience some Tennessee barbeque. The GPS and some good Yelp reviews pointed us in the direction of Excell Grocery and Bar-B-Q, located a few miles off I-24. We found seating for the restaurant in the back of the gas station/grocery. The menu is simple and the restaurant does offer breakfast and lunch, with an emphasis on Bar-B-Q. We tried the ribs and the pulled pork, each with sides. The rib plate had 4 ribs and they were a bit dry. The pulled pork servings were generous. The meat is not sauced. The restaurant offers two sauces- a sweet BBQ sauce and a homemade sauce. We were told the sauce gets hotter when shaken. The sides were okay. Our waitress was helpful and prompt. We were the only diners in the back room. Excell Bar-B-Q is popular with the locals. I prefer barbeque St. Louis style, with sauce.

I went to this place with high hopes. I love Nashville hot chicken, and I was ecstatic to finally be able to get it in Clarksville. However the rub on the chicken is too thick. I was hoping for more of the fried chicken tender with an added dry rub, but this isn't the case. After scraping the rub off, I finished the chicken and it definitely brings the heat. We ordered key lime pie for dinner, but the crust tasted overcooked and the pie was kind of lacking in key lime flavor.

Fox's BBQ

Fox's BBQ was established in 2001 by Jessie Fox, a US Army veteran. Mr. Fox learned bbq from his grandmother and still slow smokes his BBQ over hardwood hickory. It's the old fashioned way that creates the very best BBQ flavor.

Stopped for lunch while passing through. Very impressed. I had pulled pork, my wife the brisket - both completely satisfied. Best parts of the restaurant, however, were (a) the service. Clearly this is a family owned and operated joint that takes pride in their product. They dropped by numerous time to make sure we were completely satisfied. (b) cleanliness - the place is spotless, which is especially important when you're dining with your kids. Being so close to Ft Campbell there's a strong military presence about. Overall, we were so impressed I was even able to overlook all the St Louis Cardinals memorabilia on display :-) !

Mission BBQ

We stopped at Mission BBQ on our way through Clarksville for lunch and was impressed from start to finish. We're from St. Louis and we have no shortage of great BBQ restaurants in our area. I'm often unimpressed but was not at Mission. We all ordered the pulled pork sandwich, two traditional and two NC style (with coleslaw). It was tender with good flavor and we loved it was served dry. We tried all the sauces on the table, everyone had they're own favorite. All of us ordered different sides and those were all delish as well. The staff was so welcoming. We had a nice conversation with Diana who filled us in on the history of the restaurant. I would give them 10 out of 5 if I could. Thanks for the wonderful food, gracious hospitality and most importantly thank you for honoring our military and first responders!
