Being regular visitor to the location, bordering Bolgoda lake, must highlights one thing. DO NOT expect five star here. But you will get value for money. Hotel serves the usual Sri Lankan restaurant foods with good portion sizes. So, it will be nothing but common meals see everywhere. Most popular ones are hot battered mushrooms and cuttle fish; of course the Sri Lankan fired rice. Beverages are ok but not happy with the iced tea and cocktails. Nice ambiance at night. Crowded on weekends. Pool is ok, again crowded on weekends. This is popular fiends and family outing spot in the area.Overall value for money. We had a nice dinner and therefor decided to return the next day. Unluckily the second experience was significantly below the first one. We where disappointing. We decided not return a third time.

My friend and I were searching for a bar to go to in Colombo and were fortunate to have this suggested by one of the locals.Situated right beside the beach this bar serves alcoholic drinks (cheap by Western Standards), with 500ml of Lion lager approximately 300 rupees (£2.30). You can either sit on the beach or under cover in the 2 storied bar. There is also live music with good quality bands and individuals performing.
