On another shopping trip and just wanted a good value lunch after shopping. You can arrive with your trolley full of shopping and still eat there in comfort. As ever we had the croques with chips which were delicious and arrived swiftly.

Food, drinks always excellent. superb french atmosphere. I have been visiting for 10 years. ALWAYS welcoming . Excellent atmosphere. locals drinking wine. french families enjoying lunch. smoking area (outside , under cover.). service was FAST 2 waiters/bar people. but last visit only 1, (rushed off his feet.!!!!)...but only 10 minute wait for 5 meals.!!!!. excellent value and quality food. superb authentic french cafe.

We went for breakfast. We ordered one English and one French breakfast. I'm afraid the English was not good. Two fried eggs, both broken. Something resembling baked beans. Some grilled tomatoes, a sausage and lettuce with salad cream. It was all stone cold.The owner was very nice, and even brought over some HP Sauce (obviously believing all English people have this for breakfast).We continued our search for breakfast elsewhere the following day (without success).

Ended up in here because we had a veggie in our group and the 'posh' places had nothing for her!Glad we did, the food was excellent and reasonably priced, not fancy but good solid cooking. We had mussels with mustard and bacon, a steak with Roquefort, a burger and a cheese omelette. Everyone enjoyed their meals and the service was jolly and friendly.I'd definitely go back.

After waiting for an eternity for some service we finally got served eventually got told they had no pepsi for the kids . Then when the food finally came out one meal was missing this finally arrived just as the others had finished their meals.My meal itself was terrible. I now think I would have been better off eating the table as it was probably more tender than the piece of beef I had.I would recommend staying as far away from this place as possible.

This modern brew-pub is a good place for large groups for informal dining. The menu is quite extensive with plenty to choose from and it is available in both English or French. They brew their own beers so there is also an interesting and original beer menu. We had a mixed meat platter to start and then I had the BBQ Ribs. Not the best ribs I've ever had (those were in the USA) but certainly tasty and filling. Service was good and prices were reasonable. We stopped for a drink here as a group of 5 as part of a cultural tour of the area visiting WW2 locations. Great service and reasonable prices and big screen tvs to watch the sport. Somewhere we will revisit.

In a great central place on the way down to the sea. At the time we went the market was also outside so there was a good atmosphere. Very friendly and good service. We had the typically French moules et frites with no complaints. On our next time in Calais we'll be there again.
