At the 2010 census, the city had a population of 122,067 making it the 8th largest city in the San Francisco Bay Area. Founded in 1869 as the community of Todos Santos by Salvio Pacheco, the name was changed to Concord within months. The city is a major regional suburban East Bay center within the San Francisco Bay Area, and is 29 miles (47 kilometres) east of San Francisco.

This is one of those restaurants that I have passed by thousands of times in the mall and never paid much attention to. But recently some friends suggested we meet there on a Friday afternoon. It was crowded, and we had to wait a bit for a table. I guess the most off-putting thing, for me, was the noise level. Between many TVs at full volume and music and groups and families, it was really loud. However, the burgers and fries did not disappoint anyone: from the lettuce wrap types to the gourmet burgers, the veggie burgers and even the salad folks. Everything was served quickly, freshly prepared and very tasty. There was a bit of a misunderstanding about who was to be our server in the beginning, but after that was cleared up, it all went smoothly.Parking in the Sun Valley Mall parking lot is usually easy. There is bus service to the mall. It is a bit far to walk from either the Pleasant Hill or Concord BART station. Biking would be easy.

I went here for a business lunch. We all liked our food. I had the spinach salad with grilled chicken. The grilled chicken was juicy and flavorful. It also had sliced strawberries, Asian pears, walnuts and feta. I loved it. My colleague had the grilled chicken sandwich. It was served on focaccia with avocado and cheese. She really liked it. The music was way too loud and it was hard to have a conversation . I didn't ask them to turn it down, but they may have if I asked. Good bar food menu with outside seating. Outside seating is the way to go unless it's too hot or cold.

Use to be my favorite place when we came to town...they updated their Restaurant too...but I guess they have to pay for that renovation. They were going to charge $5.00 for me to change pasta instead of the rice...that's plain crazy. It's Chicken Marsala...it's suppose to be on pasta! Then when I get the food the bite of chicken tasted fine but the pasta tasted like they put some chemical in it...made my lips numb and the inside of my mouth. Could have been the wine they used. Exchanged for a sandwich but not what I wanted. So disappointed. I have had this before here too. I'm not looking for a free meal, but you'd think after that they'd at least give us a discount.On the plus side our server was really nice and he seemed concerned (more then the manager did).

We went shopping and came across this place. It was nice and had a lot of beer selections. We chose the house beer and was pleanantly surprised.Nice plce to have a beer.

Always nice to sit outside and people watch. With that being said, I feel like the servers sometimes forget to check on guests. More that once, I've had to go and search for them. They're usually chit chatting with other employees at the bar.Excellent beer selection, although it seems like every time I pick one, it's gone.The food is delicious. The frickles are awesome.

Convient at the Concord Mall, BJâs is a good stop for reliable food. The Asian chicken salad was awesome. The wings were pretty salad. We really enjoy the flat breads here as well. Service is always good.

Being a resident of Walnut Creek, where lack of parking has ruined many a restaurant, coupled with ruthless parking enforcement, my reviews always include parking. No prob here as SunValley Mall parking is plentiful, though at peak times, you may have have to hunt a bit.The restaurant is not within the Mall, but is clearly visible from Contra Costa Blvd. For a place that prides itself for its ribs, my ribs that came with the family meal-deal, 2 varieties including St.Louis, we're both "dry as dust", and the delicious sauce in which it was cooked could not overcome the dryness probably caused by sitting in a "hot table" too long. The half chicken that came with the deal was juicy and tender. But my biggest disappointment was the BURNT ENDS- sorry guys, call it what you will, these were not the real thing, but chunks of pork trying to look like the real thing-for shame! Rather than cheating, better to say"Sorry, we are out of this item!" The desert list is not long but judging by the SNICKERS ICE CREAM PIE WE SHARED, it is very tasty and a bit different. Jacks is part of Pleasant Hill. Ask anyone who lives here to meet at Jacks and not only do they know the place but they have been there and they like it.The menu is based a lot on Greek food but does have a lot of variety.The also recently opened an adjoining tap room where plenty of beers are available on tap. Not surprisingly, all of those beers are also available in the restaurant.

Went here for to celebrate a couple of birthdays. Our server was Leonardo and he did a great job. All of our food tasted delicious. Prices were great. Very reasonable for 5 people. We would definitely recommend the Lazy dog. We will definitely be back.

After several visits over the last 3 years, my experience has consistently been great food and great service. I've had lunches and dinners here, with parties varying from 2 to 12. They have delicious food options and the service quality is always on point. They have yummy drink options too!
