Four of us visited this restaurant for dinner. The service was very good...attentive but not intrusive. The food was excellent and we felt it was good value. And we could also have a good conversation... so the noise level, which often bothers us, was not an issue. Le Fil Rouge exceeded our expectations. We had an extremely pleasant evening.Thank you for your nice review, we are glad that you had a good evening and that we exeeded your expectations. We were recommended to the Ch'Carrefour Gourmand by the proprietor of our beatiful B&B in Houplines. After walking around Armentieres town for half an hour waiting for opening time.. we decided that this eatery would be the best option as it offered a better selection than steaks or tripe. We had not booked but were welcomed by the chef and staff and enjoyed a really good traditional French bistro meal, Magret de Canard, perfectly cooked and tender. Very reasonably priced and lovely atmosphere.

A truly enjoyable place that honors the local gastronomy with delicious products coming straight from farmers in the region. Great location, inside a stunning covered gallery. Awesome food, friendly staff. My wife and I went there twice in two days and would certainly do it again!Thank you so much for your review of our property, look forward to seeing you soon

We attended a booked lunch for a small group. There was nobody else at the restaurant.The lady-owner speaks week English and although I adressed her in perfect French, she did not get any friendlier. A stern face, not a slight little smile... all not very stimulating!The food was average; the veggies were clealy heated deepfrozen product and got cold very quickly; the meat was nice, the gratin as well. The soup was lukewarm and had no taste to it.We certainly will not go back here on our own account!Leen, thank you for the review.the string beans were frozen and I am sorry to hear they were quickly cold, will try to make it better next time.
