Had lunch here with my family and our experience was fine. The waiting time was not long.I enjoyed the gyoza and shrimp tempura. The hostess, waiters and waitresses were all very friendly and accommodating. The waitress assigned to us even volunteered to take our photo when she saw one of us struggling to take a selfie with everyone.

It's really excellent Japanese comfort food. This is a cool place, cool servers, cool menu. If you are not used to Japanese seasoning and food, a bit of a caution, this place does taste actually more like Japanese food (as opposed to the majority of places that honestly serve a menu aimed at American taste buds).Having said that, if you have a taste for the Land of the Rising Sun, this is a fantastic little hole in the wall to get your groove on.Ramen: yes, yes, yes. Try it. They have great Ramen. I tried a bun, this is a great place to get a Japanese bun. Their green tea: real green tea so unless you like the grassy, nutty flavor, realize this is not Liptons. If you like real green tea, well my friend, go there and "you're welcome".

Been here a few times & never disappoint. We had special Thai noodles w/ egg on top - super tasty - delish. We also got the beef satay combo - rice, salad, cucumber relish & Thai ice tea - $10.95Food is delish but what made me write is staff. They are very calm & professional. I heard a call - missed part of the order - he was very polite, acknowledge & fix.

Been driving past the place for years and heard it was good, but finally got to try it. Everybody was right, this place is great. They have a great lunch combo for under $8 that includes an entree, egg roll, fried rice and Chinese cole slaw. My favorite is Kung Pao Chicken. Eat in or Take out...no delivery service.

Excellent Tiger Roll and excellent King Crab Roll also. The chicken teriyaki is more than you can eat. Very healthy portion. The miso soup is always a great way to start. Great variety on the menu. Service is usually prompt and friendly. Go early.

New Moon is perhaps the best "Chinese-style" food available in Santa Clarita. I say, "Chinese-style", because you might question whether it's authentic Chinese. However, what it lacks in authenticity, it more than makes up for in freshness and flavor. The other Chinese places in Santa Clarita (Grand Panda, China Express, A&B Express, PF Changs, Panda Express), either serve pretty much boring takes on old (mostly Americanized) standards, or are corporate takes on Asian food. You probably know the type: It's sometimes Chinese comfort food, but you would never confuse it with fine dining. At New Moon, the sauces are light, the food is much less greasy, and the ingredients never taste frozen or canned. The service is usually friendly, efficient and responsive. They are very accommodating and upbeat. However, sometimes, they can be slow and inattentive. There are some original dishes here that feel like the creations of an actual experienced chef. You can get actual spicy dishes that are designed for heat, and aren't just peppery versions of mild dishes.. like the chicken with roasted jalapeño chilis. Some of the dishes I've tried and liked are: filet of sole, Szechuan style, crispy sole, Shelby's sweet and spicy beef, crispy orange peel beef, minced chicken with lettuce cups (similar to a Thai nam), Wally's grilled shrimp, Chloe's shrimp, and Chinese salted shrimp. There are more, but that's all I can remember as I look at the menu. Finally, the bar is fantastic. My wife asked the bartender to "surprise her" and he asked her what flavors she liked, then made up a drink on the spot. It was a crazy thing, where he tells you the ingredients and it sounds like a disaster, but the taste was really, really good. She asked him what he called it, and he said, "I don't know. I just made it up."Also, the happy hour is great. It is fun to go with a group, sit on the patio, and order one of everything on the happy hour menu of finger food. I've seen a lot of debate on local foodie boards over whether or not New Moon is authentic. That's silly. I've had some "authentic" food in Chinatowns in L.A., New York, and San Francisco, that was dull, stale and just plain icky. What matters most to me is that the food is good, fresh, well-prepared and cheerfully served. New Moon meets those criteria.

Food is a modernized Chinese cuisine. A little on the pricey side for Chinese food however this is an Americanized version of that cuisine. The hip up to date decor is a big upgrade from your typical cheap Chinese restaurant. This chain elevates Chinese cuisine to a different level of experience. For value you definitely are paying for the decor with your meal. Food is average but presented very stylishly. Again decor! Am sure they do well providing a good dining experience by titilating the senses with their high end overall presentation. Still I would recommend this place for the experience.
