Martigny (French: [maʁtiɲi]; German: Martinach; Latin: Octodurum) is the capital of the district of Martigny in the canton of Valais in Switzerland. It lies at an elevation of 471 meters (1,545 ft), and its population is approximately 15000 inhabitants (Martignerains or "Octoduriens"). It is a junction of roads joining Italy, France and Switzerland. One road links it over the Great St. Bernard Pass to Aosta (Italy), and the other over the col de la Forclaz to Chamonix (France). In winter, Martigny is known for its numerous nearby Alp ski resorts such as Verbier.

Service was terrific, devour was detailed, classy and the restaurant spacious. Excellent selection of items and the food was delicious. Rare to find such good Chinese cuisine in Switzerland. Swiss prices, but to be expected. Will be back when we are in Martigny next.

When we decide to go to Martigny to visit the Modigliani exhibit at The Gianada foundation not to be missed) I looked at the advices given for asian restaurants on trip advisor and this one had pretty good reviews.The decor is not much, it looks a bit like a cafeteria. Service is decent and the waiters are pretty friendly.My husband had a wan tan soup, very small bowl with 2 or 3 raviolis. I had the vermicelli salad (thai style) and it was weird to see deli turkey sliced in a mixture of vermicelli soaked in ketchup.The main dishes (thai chicken green curry and chicken with ginger) had this weird ultra thin chicken that felt rubbery and tasted like it was processed.Prices would have been reasonable if the food had been decent but unfortunately this was not the case.

We had eaten there twice and found the sushi to be fresh and nicely prepared. The selection was good and the prices for Switzerland very reasonable. The service was efficient and good and the ambience good. We will return many more times for sure.

Kamal Kitshiri is an experienced Indonesian cuisine Chef: he prepared the archipelago menus everywhere in Switzerland for years and landed now in Martigny. The whole family is helping in this brand new restaurant. We were dining at his RATU BALI on day 1 (opening) and were very happy to eat his chicken and pork typical 'émincés'. Fresh vegetables were crisp and enjoyable and meat was tasty with the exact local balinese flair. The casual welcome and warm family atmosphere of this intimate and charming medieval arcade restaurant was enjoyable. We definitely will return eat his nice and low calories tasty dishes.
