We were driving from Las Vegas to Reno and stopped here for lunch. It's beautifully restored and the staff was friendly and efficient. I had the wings and a beer from the local brewery which I really enjoyed. My husband had the blt and fries. He liked the sandwich but said the fries were just ok. Make sure to check out the memorabilia in the old safe.Dear K1187,Thank you so much for your comments. I'm so glad to see that you enjoyed your visit. You like so many others find the Mizpah a perfect halfway point for lunch as well as overnight stays. Thanks for stopping and come back soon!

Foods tasty but service is really slow. Refill on request only. Screaming kids behind us. Not a great way to start the day. Oh well happy Sunday.

Cisco's Restaurant

We were staying at a nearby hotel and wanted somewhere we could walk to to have dinner, so this restaurant fitted the bill.We arrived to find it empty except for the friendly staff who explained how it worked (order at the counter and pay there and then after which they would bring the food to our table, or we could take out), and also talked us through the varied menu as we had a few questions. They were very flexible and made some changes to accommodate my daughter's specific request. The food came quite quickly and was very tasty. One disappointment was that they did not have a licence to sell beer, although they explained that this would be coming soon. With just us, and later one other table occupied, there was not much atmosphere in the restaurant but we didn't care as we were tired and just wanted something to eat.

Subway

Reviewed By CrankingChick

We stopped at this Subway location for lunch on a Tuesday when traveling from Reno to Las Vegas. It's not our first choice, but we occasionally stop at Subways to save time or when there's no other option. There aren't a lot of services out in the Nevada desert, so we opted for Subway since you usually know what you're going to get and they do have some healthy choices. This particular Subway is inside a large gasoline service plaza with a convenience market and a Burger King. When we went inside, we realized that the Subway service counter was not separated from the market; the line is just to one side of the store. They share a soda dispenser with the convenience store. In their defense, it was a holiday week, but the place was pandemonium. They obviously had more customers than they could comfortably handle. It was loud in there and difficult to communicate the order to the servers, which was causing confusion and mistakes. We ordered salad and sandwiches and it took longer than we expected. The Subway also doesn't have any designated seating, so we just went into the Burger King side as others were doing to find a table to eat our meal. Most of the tables were dirty and we had to wipe one off ourselves with napkins. I think there were a few concrete patio tables outside as well. The food tasted fine, but it wasn't a pleasant experience at all. On our next trip this summer we'll try somewhere else.
