We've been here three times now - twice for lunch and once for dinner. Very nice restaurant with a plethora of monitors to watch sporting events. Bar selections are excellent and the burgers are very good. Prices are reasonable too and the wait staff very polite and helpful.

Food was good service not so good. Gamboa J definitely needs more training. He never brought us a refill on coffee and tea and no water plus he was never available for us to ask for refills. Wanted condiments but he was never available for us to ask. Yet food was good so didnât want to give lower than 4 star

Cafe Java is the perfect spot for your diverse group. Someone want specialty coffee? Another want healthy eats? Big eater wants a huge country breakfast? This is the BEST for everyone. Service is spectacular. Worth the wait. And a petite version of any omelette! So when I ordered the âpetite Ironman,â there were a few chuckles all around. Just saying... you get exactly what you want here.

We have had some great service at this location, and that is appreciated. Many people come here for special occasions, like we did, and being attentive to customers can make a special meal even better. We crossed the range of the menu with a filet order, chicken order, and salad order. Everything was cooked correctly. The pace of ordering to salads to meals was even with no stacking up of entrees while eating salads. Always a no-no. We stop here every few months and have found the dining experience has been consistent each time.

My sister and brother-in-law brought me here. It was crowded and a 10-15 minute wait on a Friday night which hinted this is a popular local establishment. I cannot remember my exact choice of food, however, I do recall that I had raw oysters as an appetizer, and later fried breaded oysters and shrimp, all washed down with a couple of glasses of draft beer. Yummy!!!

Wife and I went for lunch, want to go back. Pulled pork was amazing, brisket was really good. Loved the fries, potato salad was solid, sweet tea was perfect, even the bread was great. I was only disappointed in the beans. Service was good, atmosphere was nice and price was on par. Great meal and experience overall.

Every time I find myself in Austin, I try to go to any of the Hopdoddyâs locations. They have really great burgers and they have the best gluten free buns. If Iâm there when itâs not a busy time, I ask if they will sell be some GF buns to take home. They usually have 4 or 6 they will part with. I bring them home and put them in my freezer. We donât go there just for the GF buns. My husband loves their burgers as well.

This is some of the best Cajun food west of Louisiana that I have ever tasted. It only seems right since the owners brought their folks recipes with them from Louisiana. I had Crawfish Ãtouffée and my wife enjoyed the Catfish Ãtouffée, both had the same delicious roux base that was not too spicy but they had spices on the table for those who like to burn their innards. The crawfish were tender and tasted fresh although I am not sure if it is mudbug season or not. The catfish was fried just right so that they were still moist. The only disappointment was the bread before the meal, it felt like it had been sitting out too long (good thing because we werenât too full to enjoy our entrees). Kelly was such a pleasure and move from table to table striking up friendly chatter that we thought she had to be from the bayou but we were wrong, she was a Texan. Now on our radar for nights out.

This place has it all! We really enjoyed the $5 kettle chips w/blue cheese drizzle. Our server Carla recommended great cocktails, they were divine. The caesar salad was crisp and fresh, could have used more anchovies. Gumbo was approved by my uncle who is from Louisiana. Crab fried rice needed more crab. Oysters were just ok for me- I prefer Washington State or Tomales Bay Oysters.

Each of us tried something different; Fish and chips, chicken fired steak, tacos.Waitress informed us that everything was scratch made so we could fine tune any of our choices. My husband thought the fish and chips were mediocre so that was disappointing. Our appetizer- some sort of red fries were tasty. Good sized portions and service was attentive. Happy hour is only for specific cocktails. Very busy place. Waits can be long, so plan ahead!
