Cracker Barrel has a varied menu, from breakfast to dinner. For breakfast, they have wonderful pancakes and quite a few egg selections. Their fried cod fish on Friday is very good! And so is their coleslaw! Went their for lunch yesterday and had the featured item, Shepherds Pie. It was very good, indeed. Might be just a tad bit salty for some folks though. Served with your choice of corn muffin or biscuits. Hard to choose between them, so, you can have both! Roast Beef dinner is melt-in-your mouth good! Green beans taste as good as my grandmother's award winning green beans. Good ice tea, too.

We were traveling south on I-75. Stopped here for lunch.I ordered the Pasta Primavera with Shrimp and my husband ordered the Hickory Bourbon Bacon Burger.Service was a little slow, my husband's burger arrived first and a few minutes later my pasta dish.The burger was not as juicy as expected, and the sauce was a bit salty.My pasta dish looked very good and truth be told, it tasted wonderful... UNTIL I saw a dreaded hair on a penne piece. Yuk. I quietly told the waitress about it, and of course, profuse apologies ensued.I ordered the Southern Sampler to replace the pasta.Here are my thoughts: Pork meatballs were good, deviled eggs were ice cold, and the pimento cheese = inedible. The crackers had potential, though were a tad hard.In any case, the Manager comped the sampler (thank you), but I can't say that it was a good meal.

We generally dine at local establishments or at small regional chains. However on this occasion we had a great reason to dine at Cracker Barrel! This chain is almost omnipresent along the Interstate Highway System across the USA. Our excellent reason for having dinner here was a gift certificate given to us by a cousin for our 40th wedding anniversary.Every Cracker Barrel features a big front porch lined with wooden rocking chairs⦠The country or general store theme hits you as you enter any Cracker Barrel location. This retail element sells snack items, basic toys representative of earlier days, toy vehicles, puzzles, woodcraft, cookbooks, novelty kitchen décor, CDs and DVDs, clothing and much, much more. The dining rooms at Cracker Barrel are large and roomy. The theme is based on a traditional Southern general store. Items use to decorate the space are authentic everyday objects and typically include items related to the local area. Service at Cracker Barrel is almost always pleasant with employees and management striving to please their customers. In this case our waitress repeatedly served up their quality coffee and gave us this basket of biscuits and corn breadâ¦readily providing jelly when requested even though we didnât order breakfast. She brought my Tabasco too!We both had the same mealsâ¦the 10 oz. Rib Eye Steak dinner. ($15.69) As per the menu, their thick-cut USDA Choice rib eye is aged 28 days for exceptional tenderness and flavor, then lightly seasoned and grilled to order. We could either order 3 country sides or a house salad and baked potato as accompaniments⦠We went for the 3 country sides.The sidesâ¦seasoned green beans, hash browns, steamed seasoned broccoli and fresh seasonal fruit were all quite tasty. The steaks had decent flavor but they werenât very tender nor were they very thick. They were cooked medium rare as requested. Based on the price, Iâd rate them as average. Still, all-in-all, the food was decent and thanks to the gift card from cousin Nate and his wife Janice, this was a very satisfying meal!

We stopped for a lunch with friends. Lunch and dinner buffets at Shoney's feature southern traditions like fried chicken, country style steak, meat loaf, fried fish, a vast selection of vegetables, salads, breads and soups. Their Breakfast buffet has all of the breakfast favorites like bacon, sausage, ham, gravy, biscuits, eggs, fried potatoes, and so much more.The best part about showing up for an early lunch at 11am? We got both the breakfast buffet AND lunch buffet. It was great. Yes, they ran out of the breakfast foods shortly but it was great and most enjoyable.The waitresses are delightful, and many of them have been at this same restaurant for many years. Come in and give them a try, and see what southern style family food and service is all about.

Great little dive in the heart of Lenoir City! Good food and good prices! There fries and hotdogs tasted like Five Guys! They had a band âBruno and Lori Lynnâ when we went tonight. They are really good! Our server was AWESOME also! Her name was Shawna I think.. long brown hair. Girl needs a RAISE! If you had her at every restaurant, you would never have a problem! She stayed on it the whole time while having almost every table on the patio also! Cuddos girl ââï¸

Chef Robert Allen always does a great job with the food. If you're lucky enough to be there when duck or the heirloom tomato salad (in season) are on the menu ... my favorites. Fish dishes are wonderful as are the scallops. But what makes Citicos extra special is the intimate setting ... about a dozen small tables in a beautuful "home" on the lake. Expect the staff to spoil you. Sunday brunches are incredible!

Tasty food and plentiful servings made this the perfect spot for a quick dinner. I had nachos with chili and cheese. The chips were very delicate and fragile, which made a fork necessary, but the chili was just the right spiciness, and very meaty. The chicken fingers were meaty, and the fish and chips were lightly fried. What really put a finish on the meal was our server, who was just the right mix of friendly, attentive and inobtrusive.

Right from the start, we were made to feel at home. They even gave us a choice of a booth or a table. The menu was surprising large. (They could add a vegetarian option.) I enjoyed the 1/2 sandwich and soup. Hubby had a sandwich on a coissant--his favorite, and surprised to find it there.As it was his birthday, they gave him his choice of dessert. I enjoyed the lemon cookie.For sure, we'll continue to return.

Been visiting for years. Penny and the other managers have stepped up their game and service is the the best ever! Food was always good but has improved this year and I am glad to see innovations like the bacon wrapped burt ends brisket are just out of this world. This is a small independent restaurant that has created food drinks, excellent service and a cool vibe. We have daily specials. We enjoyed the artichoke stuffed mushrooms in the pretzels with beer cheese among other things! Definitely beats the chain restaurants!Thank you Allison for appreciating our attention to the details. We try to create daily drink specials that make ALL your senses excited. Our small plate style allows you to try many different things and share with your group.
