Helen, a Bavarian Alps replica town in Appalachian Georgia, is home to an Oktoberfest for the ages, overflowing with two-liter beer glasses and Germany's famous bratwursts. To recover from the festivities, the savviest make their way to Cedar Creek Luxury Cabins on the edge of the Chattahoochee National Forest.

We're Always Cookin' There's something about a freshly made meal, prepared just for you. Maybe it's a waffle sundae to celebrate the day you get your braces off, or a plate full of loaded hash browns after a Saturday morning soccer game. Whatever the occa
We went for dinner not just for breakfast but because it's good. We had a pecan waffle with bacon and a plain waffle with sausage patties. We also had plenty of butter and syrup. The Sweet Tea is so good I took a large with me. Our waitress was very friendly and personable. She was attentive to our drinks and any other needs. The staff looked like they were enjoying their job, working with each other and the customers. The customers who came and went all were smiling and seemed satisfied. The restrooms are clean.

Overlooking the foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains, the Caledonia Dining Room offers a fine southern cuisine with a hint of modern flare located in the Valhalla Resort Hotel.
The Valhalla Resort restaurants, the Caledonia Room and Sky bar were a big disappointment. For lunch in the Sky bar, we ordered the Valhalla Burger, which turned out to be a tiny hamburger for $11 and the Chicken Avocado Salad, which was dry and tasteless. We made reservations for dinner in the Caledonia room, but they decided not to open it, so we had to eat again in the Sky bar (same kitchen). I had the Braised short rib, which I sent back. It had one rib and it was 90% fat and hardly any meat. They still charged me 50% of the $27!!! for this horrible dish. My wife had a completely tasteless Cornish hen. Worst restaurant experience of our hole trip. Never again!!!

This place was recommended to me by a friend so I had to stop in and check it out. It is located in a great spot next to the river but with that being said it does get incredibly busy. I was seated pretty quickly and had a great place to eat and people watch. My one negative is that it did quite a bit of time for my server to finally come up. After that I ordered the tavern burger but substituted it for chicken instead and it came with a side of chips. The chicken was cooked perfectly however the chips came in a bag which was disappointing as I was expecting house made chips. Other than, great place for a meal and I would certainly go back despite the fact the service took a bit longer than usual.

We came to Helen for the weekend and it was the beginning of Octoberfest! This place was casual and great! We had a Bavarian Pretzel and beer cheese; it was a phenomenal appetizer to say the least.... I had the Reuben which was an amazing sandwich! It was grilled and smothered in cheese...also served with chips and a kosher pickle. My wife had the Roast Beef on a Kaiser Roll....served with chips and a kosher pickle, the warm air sitting outside and the river running beside our table was so relaxing and perfect to start our weekend.... this place was great recommend if in Helen Ga or near by!

While spending the day in Helen, we heard of several places to eat, and this was one of them; So we came here for lunch, it was highly charged and great! Staff was super friendly although it was busy but did seem to level out. The popcorn appetizer was amazing and free, the man throwing the crust was a fun view although I ddI t get a picture. We had just a slice and a few drinks, but it was perfect and fulfilling! The pizzas are huge and the toppings are plentiful. Pasta and Hoagies are also offered, as well as specialty salads and house dishes. Highly recommend and will revisit soon and make this one of my must stops. A large outdoor covered dinning area is also available...

Came across this little gem while wondering a little off the beaten path. Courtyard patio was so relaxing and fun. Live band playing at one end.. still able to have a conversation at the table while enjoing your wonderful meal Nice variety on the menu. We each had the dill pickle soup - YUM.. I had a VERY tasty salad and the large pork chop which melted in my mouth. My husband had the crab cake sandwich which looked very yummy. We were so full and relaxed after our meal. We sat back, enjoyed the live music and our drinks for a while. Perfect night out.

Went here for dinner. It had been about 4 years since we had been in Helen but we remembered how good it was. This time was just as good with an updated menu and surroundings. All our food was delivered as ordered and the Service was great. Their Ribs and a 12oz burger were great.

Comfortable atmosphere with live dinner music Wednesday thru Saturday night and brunch on Sunday. Live fire wood grill in upscale setting. With an experienced chef and personable wait staff you'll want to come back again and again.
Best shrimp and grits and banana pudding I have ever had! The owner was on hand to make sure everything was perfect. My husband also enjoyed a delicious filet mignon steak. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We stopped here on our first night in Helen as part of a bus tour. The restaurant dining room is not large and our group had the whole room. The food was all German specialties and the portions were large. Everyone at my table of 4 adults could not finish the meal! The server, Haley, was knowledgeable about German beers and very good at describing the meals and desserts. We opted for a spice cake that was outstanding. All in all, we left satisfied and walked around Helen to digest our meals.

We've relocated closer to town. 8797 Main St. Helen, Ga. We have the same great food - just a larger location. Come and sit in the Courtyard or inside and enjoy the view. Parking is available behind the restaurant.
Now this is the type of cafe I'd like to find in every city!Friendly staff even remembered our drink orders when we showed up the second time! Flavorful and fresh food. Excellent burgers, good chicken sandwiches and chicken salad, breakfast too. Knotty Pine interior was fun cabin like. Nice outside terrace but temps were in the 90's so we ate inside.A little tricky to find their sign doesn't show up well on the street but right next to Betty's. Small menu but everything was great. Super reasonable prices.
