My wife and I were seated quickly, the restaurant was only about half full. We waited, and waited. Two tables who were seated after us had their orders taken. We waited and waited. Then we got up and walked Out. I will not be going back.Hello Flyklr,I would like to extend to you a very sincere apology for your experience you had while visiting our restaurant Prairie Grille. This is very disheartening and unacceptable in our eyes and I can assure you we will be sharing your experience with our entire staff and ensuring we can all learn from this mistake. I appreciate you sharing your experience with us so that we have the opportunity to ensure this doesn't happen again. I do hope you will give us another shot, as this is not the standard of our service here at Prairie Grille.

Have visited this location a number of times, occasionally the experience is quite good, it is usually at least acceptable. This experience was not. Visited shortly after 8 pm, there were a number of empty tables, so there was little incentive to get us out quickly. The hostess did not bother to leave napkins with cutlery when we were seated. Drink orders were taken quickly by a pleasant, friendly server. Unfortunately, no lemon wedges were available for the ice water. I fail to see the excitement over the warm bread served when one sits down - it is ordinary at best. Almost tasteless except for the cinammon butter served with it.Ordered caesar salads and NY strip steaks. Took a long time for the salads to come, still had no cutlery with which to consume them. By the time we received cutlery, about three minutes later, the steaks were sitting on the table. So, they cooled while we ate salad. Their caesar is OK, nothing to write home about.The potatoes were good, the steaks acceptable, except that attached to one of the steaks was a huge piece of fat and gristle. If one removed this obviously inedible piece of garbage, it became a 6 oz steak instead of an 8. To add insult to injury, we had to suffer through not one, but two, incredibly noisy birthday "celebrations." Really, people, is it necessary for you to scream at the top of your lungs to have a good time???In short, it was one irritating factor after another. Wished we had gone to another chain restaurant just around the corner where the food is only slightly more expensive, far better prepared, and the atmosphere quiet and subdued. Not likely to return.

I had my regular meal I get at Cracker Barrel and hav not been disappointed. A dinner with tilapia grilled, baked sweet potato, pinto beans, and a side salad. Generous portions and prepared perfectly. The server was friendly and efficient. I will be back again when we travel through this area.

We were staying at a motel close by and wanted something light for dinner since we had a late lunch and decided to have some sppitizers.the young man at the bar was very sweet and gave us advice on local places,but when the food came out we loved it so much we ordered more.first off they have a delicious cherry bomb blonde beer. We had the steak flat bread which was so delicate,yet so full of flavor and this seafood type stack with lump crab,mango,avocado and these crispy triangles and nicely presented.great food,and staffThank you for the wonderful review. We hope you stop in to see us again if you are ever in the Davenport area!

Hadn't stopped here for sometime. Decided I'd drive thru and get a vanilla shake. Worst shake I had anywhere in years. Had absolutely no flavor or taste. I realize for a shake there may not be any malt taste to it, but this had no taste. There should at least be some flavor, like at least vanilla.......there was none. It tasted somewhat like thicken white milk with a small sweet taste. I tried stirring it up, no difference. Horrible, waste of $3 bucks. I took 3 sips and threw it away.They did have good shakes/malts here, not anymore. Won't be stopping here again for another one of these.Date of visit 05/07/2018 at about 12:30 p.m.

Mother-in-law wanted to go here for bday dinner. I had burnt ends, not always on menu, but if you ask they will get them for you. Always delicious! Surprise bday dessert for mother-in-law! Employees sang to her. Waitress, Katie, was awesome!!Chris, thank you for coming in to celebrate a special occasion with us! We are so glad you enjoyed your visit. We appreciate the amazing feedback!

This place is over priced, no customer service, and RUDE inexperienced help. I ordered a over priced 12$ chicken ceaser salad for carryout and after getting home they not only forgot the dressing but had 3 small slices of chicken! The so called kid manager never apologized and said "so...your not coming back for the dressing"? Are you kidding? Ridiculous and unexceptable!! Not even a slight bit happy! Save your time, money and sanity and get a caseys pizza from eldridge!

While others have had good experiences here, and the flavor of food is good, the food seems to be inconsistent in portion size. 1/2 lb should be a sizable portion, but in our case was laughably small, think under 1/4 lb ( not enough to cover the bun). The owner protests this, but it happened, and based on a few other reviews, it's happened before. Beware

Visiting the casino for a show. Got there early and thought we'd have a cocktail at Ruthie's. Hostess asked if we had a reservation and, no we didn't. We had already eaten at an amazing restaurant elsewhere! The bartender overhears our conversation and says over the wall 'reservations only'. Way to go Ruthie's'... because your reviews don't already stink!!! Glad we ate elsewhere! BTW, one star only because zero wasn't an available option.
