Standout hotel

Stayed an entire week during last December so easier for me to just pen down positives/negatives instead of doing a normal chronological review template. Positives - Front desk staff always communicated in professional manner. - High standards of cleaning by housekeeping staff - Plenty of parking spaces & right outside ur room - Appealing fixtures, decorations and lightning in rooms - Two warm blankets in addition to normal bedding. - Good water pressure & bathroom amenities all good working order. - A microwave!! Finally a hotel that chose microwave instead of useless toaster for the rooms! - Plenty of storage space, coat hangers and all drawers able to be closed so don’t end up having ur belongings all over everywhere - Other guests who spoke to in passing all easy to get along with and friendly but still respects eachothers privacy. - Atmosphere of hotel as a whole staff/guests even couriers passing thru everybody has a good energy and I feel it’s credit to the owner/management doing a great job running the place and balancing guest needs and supporting the staff that has created the good energy. Negatives - Fridge far too small, was smaller than microwave no joke - Difficult WiFi dropping out often and actually signal too weak so can’t ever get their smart TV that has compatibility for screening YouTube and similar to ever work and tried many times. - Walls are a bit too thin. You will hear that next room TV is on or that they are talking but usually not clear enough to hear what being said. Except one shameless young lass on the sat night moaning, screaming and using shockingly vulgar language letting us all know the adult goings ons of her bedrooom for many hours spoiling the nights quiet and definitely showed how sound sure can travel between rooms if not making a conscious effort to maintain lower tones. - Bathroom windows need fly screen keep flies and bugs out But overall positives far outweigh negatives and good value for the prods point.

There is only 1 light in the whole room. It barely covers the front, the bed part of the hotel is dark and the TV doesn't even work! The bed is extremely uncomfortable and almost broke my back (metaphorically) Room is also tiny and way too expensive for what it offers. I wouldn't recommend.

Value for money

We stayed here two nights, we chose it simply because it was close to the station and had free parking. The room was clean and comfortable with a t.v but no bar fridge. It's a short drive to resturants nearby as the food at the hotel itself is ordinary.

A rushed trip to Sydney was made and a friend suggested this Motel. It was clean, efficient, had all we needed, and very convenient location. Shops and eating places were nearby and the management and staff flexible and willing to assist in any way we asked.

We stayed at the Banksia Hotel - it was very neat & clean; the bed was comfortable, I have stayed at more expensive motels with horrible bed, not as comfortable as at the Banksia. Breakfast was great & brought to our room at the time we requested. This was our second stay at the Banksia & I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again & recommend as a good hotel.
