This is a large hotel and they serve a decent breakfast. In its glory days this must have been a grand hotel but its been neglected from a maintenance point of view and it badly needs some investment. The bedrooms are spacious but the showers haven't been remodeled in probably 30 years. The taps are coming off the wall as is the sink. At least the water was hot and they provided a bucket and pail in the shower. The bed was comfortable but I got badly bitten by something (surprisingly though my wife didn't). The walls are very thin so you can hear the people in the next room.

Incredible place for the value

Loved staying here so much I extended my stay an extra night. The grounds are beautiful and the staff is super friendly and helpful. They hooked me up with an awesome tour guide who I spend the next 48 hours with going to rice terraces, hot springs, rivers, restaurants, karaoke bars etc... I think they could charge twice as much.

Butch and Claire have created a home away from home. They are caring and gracious hosts. We are thankful for a clean, comfortable and serene place to come back to each night. If you are visiting Banaue, look no further than Bailey Boble for your lodging! We stay with them every month or every other month and have enjoyed getting to know them as they take time to sit down and tell us about the history of the area. We will definitely be returning. In December as a matter of fact!! See you soon Butch and Claire!!

What an experience staying at Hiwang Native House & Viewdeck

We stayed at the Hiwang Native Inn and Viewdeck for 3 nights at the end of October. We stayed in a native hut, which was certainly an experience. The views from the hut were absolutely amazing. The owner was very approachable and nothing was too much trouble. We were able to arrange evening lifts into Banaue town for evening meals and went on so many incredible tours of the area during the day. The only thing I will not miss is the 156 steps leading up to our hut.

Batad View Inn and Restaurant

As advertised! Great view and well priced

Reviewed By greg_wanders

My wife and I stayed here for a night during our trip through Banaue. The pictures are just as advertised with magnificent views of the Rice terraces and the village. First off everyone should know, is that Batad is about 40 minutes from Banaue town proper bus stop. A tricycle costs about 700 pesos one way from what we checked as the jeepneys only leave in the late afternoon when full. Once you reach the Batad drop off point, you need to walk 20 - 25 minutes downhill along the trail to reach the accommodation. Along the way you pay the 50 peso environmental fee. Remember there is no mobile signal in Batad (Smart or Globe). Your last point would be up on the Batad Saddle before you ride down to the drop off point. The room itself we got was the double room for 700 P. It is basic but that's what you expect. It had a double bed, a single bed and 2 power outlets. There is no fan and the shower/toilet is shared (towels are provided). The interiors are clean and well maintained. The view from your window has to be the highlight. The restaurant is just below the Inn and is part of Ramon Homestay. The meals are good and all priced at 185 pesos (a bit pricey but again think about the location and the difficulty in getting supplies). Everything on the menu may not be available. It looks like they used ti have cultural shows pre-pandemic however this was not operational at the time. Overall a great stay. Peaceful, disconnected and a great view to go with it. Would definitely recommend.

Banaue Evergreen Hostel And Restaurant

If you enjoy noise and exhaust pipes pollution :-(

Reviewed By istuti

I really do not agree with the positive feedbacks which made me decide to stay 3 nights at Banaue Evergreen Hostel. What a bad choice. First I thought it was due to bad circumstances, that the next day will be better, but it got worse. So, if you want to have a bad sleep on a kid's bed in a 8 m² cell like freezing igloo. If you want to rely on earplugs and even though be disturbed from 6:30am until night by noisem from the nearby busy road coming in from trucks, tricycles, jeepneys, cars, bus, lorries, and so on. If you want to smell right in your nostrils the exhaust pipes of the previous, right in the corridors, in the dining room and eventually in your room, due to the tenants weird behaviours to open all doorways and windows from 6:30 am, whether you are sleeping or cannot, whether you tell them not to do so because it is noisy and smelling gasoline or ask them to explain you the secret of enjoying traffic noise and pollution. If you want to be left stranded without any wifi signal while it is clearly meant to be available and that you've also paid for it, that technical options exist apart from a prepaid small pocket WiFi not meant to deal with a full house, especially if you do not load it. If you want to be kicked out of the place at 8:30 am because Evergreen Hostel proudly holds the title of the world earliest checkout time. If you do not want to be considered as a paying guest and enjoy being told : " That's Philippines ", " You have better things to do than going on internet ", " Sleep early then you will wake up early ", " Do you wear a mask against exhaust pipe smoke when walking outside " instead of : " We are sorry. We understand and will find a solution like opening doors later. " If you want to do whatever is possible during daytime to spend as few time as possible in this place because of all of the above, then go to Banaue Evergreen Hostel. Otherwise, don't go there. By the way, I have been travelling around the world and across oceans for the last 35 years. I'm used to uncomfort, crashpads and unusual behaviours, but it was a treat to face such illogical weirdos managers who enjoy welcoming noise and pollution in their homestay all day long, leaving aside their duties to look after their paying guests. I made it clear with them during my stay with no result. I tried to advise them upon leaving with no result. So I do advise all travellers to make sure they know where they are heading.
