To start with there was limited availability for our party of 8 (2 families of 4), however the proprietors called us back beforehand to let us know our preferred time could be accommodated, much appreciated.The welcome from Stefan was warm and friendly, and we were lucky to get a big table with comfortable stools for us to enjoy.The food was excellent, and the teenage boys tucked into the breaded snails with garlic and parsley sauce with gusto- followed by the pork belly burgers which also went down very well.I stuffed myself full of truffle and cep Fondue with some delicious charcuterie. The meal was rounded off with some of Stevanâs motherâs homemade Limoncello... too good.It was akin to going out to friends for a family dinner and Iâd heartily recommend leaving the centre of Tignes Le Lac for the short stroll to Lavachet for a great evening.David Bell. Downstairs is a pub: good selection of beer, buzzing atmosphere, Yes with sorts. Upstairs is a quite restaurant with some excellent food.Two sons had been cheek that they very much enjoyed; I had cod with lentils which was excellent.Slightly incongruous combination but I'd recommend both (in different ways). We ate their first, and then returned a different night for some late drinks in the very buzzing bar.Hi there! Always come here for lunch after ski from Val and never fails to be a trip worth making. We break the bread and drink the wine. This time it was the Salade L'Amailly - Hot goats chees, mini tartiflette, and beaufort pie alongside meats and salad. FantasticTo finish we pass the friendship cup of Grolles round and then ski home with a warm glow.
