Big venue, tastefully divided into smaller areas - without boring walls. Theres the usual bar, off to one side theres a dining area skillfully screened from the bar by huge copper beer vats, walk through the bar and you find a book lined, softly lit dining area, keep walking and you enter the pool area. The food was good too, excellent waitress

I had a fish and chips which was really bad. The chips were horrible and the fish batter was hard and sliding off the fish.There were not enough servers to keep up with the full dining room (most were having the lunch buffet), so I had to sit at a table with crumbs and grease on it. Dear MannyG2000,I am sorry you didnât enjoy your visit to our venue. We were disappointed in your review and it is not in keeping with the reviews we normally receive. No matter how busy we are, a high standard of service is mandatory â so if we didnât deliver that I apologise. Booked the back room for a family party. Great food. Cold day but nice and toasty inside. Had local musicians playing. Music a bit loud in out 'private' room difficult to hear conversation.
