Reviewed By Scenic398844The management of this hotel is a real disaster. I don’t understand how you can treat your clients that way. The owner I think should retire or just take a class in good manners and respect! Is is better to change your occupation when you have so little to offer in a service profession! We are used to the beautiful hotels in the ski resorts of Austria, Switzerland, and Savoy. We have honestly never seen this. zero quality and high price. The room was old, small and the bed so cheap. We had hot water problem almost every day ! The breakfast so poor…! Pass your road!

Reviewed By V6966NSnickmWe had booked into a different hotel which was closed due to a broken boiler so we were sent to Hotel l'Ecureuil. We were initially given a tiny room that was no more than 10m2, had no balcony and just a road view. It must have been the worst room in the hotel. We asked for a better room as our original booking had been for an 18m2 double room with a balcony and mountain view. The host was annoyed with us and made us feel like we were an inconvenience to her. We were then moved to family room which was larger but had additional bunk beds. The view was of a car park and we were told that we could not use half the room as it was a family room. The room was not very clean and the breakfast was very poor. When we checked out 2 days later we were charged the same as our original booking at the other hotel despite the room and hotel being inferior in all respects.

The beautiful continental breakfast is great to have before a long day on the lovely slopes of Auron. The stuff is very helpful and they speak English. All in all, i would recommend this hotel, especially if one is planning for a skitrip in Auron.

An absolutely lovely stay
Reviewed By PoussichatFor a quick weekend getaway from Nice, we couldn’t have made a better choice. Fantastic location in the main square, very friendly and efficiently staff, and good quality meals. The pull out bed for our 3 year-old was extremely comfortable and we were luck to have a room with balcony overlooking the mountain side. What more to ask for? We will absolutely be back.

Reviewed By dominicd72The hotel was extremely tired, no heating at the end of December, no toilet paper and an almost non existant breakfast. Even though it was the beginning of the season the hotel was in a state, laundry on the breakfast bar, orange juice that had turned into a thick brown sludge as it was obviously left from the previous season. The owner asked us how everything was and we politely complained. He proceeded to yell at us and told us to go to the boulangerie next door if we wanted breakfast! We decided to leave without saying any more and put it down to a bad experience. The owner followed us out of the hotel and continued his tirade, so much so that local shop owners came to see what was going on. The worst reception I have ever had at a hotel. It was so expensive for the reception and quality on offer. Please don’t waste your money!!

Poor quality hotel and rude staff. A place to avoid !

I asked at arrival to charge the room in a different credit card than the one I made the reservation with, but they charged the room in the same credit card despite my clear request since the beginning to charge it in a different card. I asked if they could keep my baggage at reception after check out, and they did not want to in the beginning, which is not normal for a hotel. Finally they agreed; I could not arrive at midday to collect it, but in the early afternoon, and I found my baggage outside of the hotel where it could have been stolen ! The bed, was very uncomfortable, I woke up several times at night with a back ache. Extremely expensive for the service and the poor quality of the hotel.

Reviewed By Chris DThe service is absolutely terrible. The staff is unfriendly and not helpful. The food is painfully mediocre and extremely overpriced. The rooms are not soundproof so getting a good nights rest is nearly impossible. Go there if you wish to be disappointed.
