La tavola italiana

Restaurant hidden in a villa on Route de Didier. Looking like a family trattoria. Often packed with regulars. In the long dining room the wooden bar, portait photos on the yellow walls, black and white checkered tiles create a charming outdated atmosphere.Pleasant to taste traditional Italian specialties like a Spritz as aperitif, octopus salad, fagottini, Emiliana tagliatelle, zucchini and tomato linguine, gnocchi al gorgonzola, a glass of Lambrusco. Friendly and efficient service, decent prices. La bella vita.

La Mediterranee

We like to try another meal than a western one and landed in Didier of Fort de France. The owner gave us a lesson on how to make a good ti punch by giving us almost full botle of white rhum to mix it our self. It is our aperitif. For dinner I had a delicious lamb meat cooked in tajine and my hub got a beefsteak with French fries. The last we got before we paid the bill, is a compliment of 1/5th glass of liquor from the owner. We left the restaurant with satisfaction and got a high scor from me.

I visited the restaurant with my wife and our little daughter. Nice atmosphere, very kind staff and fantastic food. We have been living on the island for 5 months and this was by far the best food we had. I would recommend that you book a table before going here since it seems to be very popular.
