Villa Factory

My experience at the Villa Factory unfortunately was quite unpleasant. The food was tasteless and the service poor. I ordered something that was out of stock but the kitchen did not think it necessary to let me choose something else off the menu. They simply served me an alternative. Service was long in coming and when we needed something we could not get the attention of the waiter although there were only two other couples in the restaurant. We actually had to get up and go to the kitchen area to call out for service at one point as no one was coming to our table. When service did come, the waiter was curt to the point of being impolite, and quite unprofessional. When we asked for a slice of lime for the very bland fish in papillote, he informed, no argued with us that the fish did not take lime. I was quite taken aback by his aloof attitude. A classy restaurant should not mean condescending staff. Needless to say, we never went back and I have never recommended this restaurant.

La Brasserie du Theatre

Reviewed By SteveJacksonnufc

We had spent a number of hours in Fort de France and were ready for something to snack on, a drink and a bit of relaxation out of the sun. We were close to this place, it looked decent, though more dinner orientated at one end and more café orientated at the other ( where it accesses into the shopping mall ), so decided to go for it. And we are pleased we did. We shared a light sandwich and then a dessert dish and had a couple of coke's to bide us over and it was really reasonable. We had heard the island Is expensive but not the case it would seem. Indeed the staff were friendly, served us efficiently and assisted with the language barrier ( they speak French surprisingly ) and the wifi was good easy to attach to and was quick. So overall a great hour relaxing, and enjoying this place. The décor is interesting and I liked it. Good place and good job guys at La Brasserie du Theatre.

4 Senses

4 Senses is a new place located on the plaza just below Hotel Simon. An original concept in Martinique, both delicatessen and wine bar.Inside you find a spacious bright room with a modern classy decor of large windows, high ceilings, glass doors, a wooden bar round. For my first visit just after opening I had a seat outside on the terrace offering a fantastic view on Baie des Flamands. With my family we ordered tapas with pate, Pata Negra ham and smoked salmon. We shared a bottle of Sancerre that came straight from the extensive wine cellar. So far so good.
