Reviewed By Tracey MWe used the Park And Fly program - this is where you stay the night before your flight, park your car and the hotel shuttles you to the airport. Except this hotel didn’t have a shuttle - they scheduled a taxi for us in the morning and told us it would be $31. The cab never showed! We ended up using Lyft and we paid $40 with tip for that. Thankfully, we made it to the airport on time! Called hotel when we landed - after several failed attempts of being hung up on we learned - again no shuttle. We took a cab 15 minutes to get back to our car - $67 with tip. Buyer Beware! Hotel is really not nice either - we are new to the area - and won’t make that mistake twice.

It was odd that the restaurants promoted were in downtown Chicago, not the area I was staying. The hotel was clean and quiet. Unfortunately the shower curtain had mold on it and the wall (see photo) wasn’t patched very well. Also, the elevator smelled like marijuana which carried into the hallway. Unaccountable. I don’t come to a hotel to smell that.

Reviewed By RebaS83Stayed here for a wedding and there was a block of rooms reserved. Check in was pretty easy. We arrived at our room on the first floor after going through the hallway maze. As soon as we stepped in, this horrible musty odor greeted us, even with our masks on. We looked around the room and I noticed a piece of long tape stuck to the AC unit which makes me wonder if housekeeping really pays attention to detail. There was black marking behind the door and the desk chair was peeling. However, the odor was unbearable for us, especially with asthma. We called the front desk and thankfully they were able to move us. Our new room was on the 3rd floor and identical to the original. The rooms have a very odd layout with that "closet" sticking out right as you walk into the room. The side of the bed next to the wall is extremely narrow. The bed was at least thankfully comfortable. It is also nice that the fridge comes standard in the room. The continental breakfast leaves much to desire. I was surprised at the lack of hand sanitizer near the breakfast "buffet" and coffee. However, for one night to crash after a wedding, it would do.

A Most disappointing experience!
Reviewed By TomJoe21When we checked in to our hotel with a limited amount of time to get ready for a wedding, we found the toilet was constantly running and was not properly flashing. We asked to switch to a different room and they sent us one floor up and all the way down to the other end of the building which was quite a walk. When we checked in to the new room, we checked the toilet in that room and found that when you flush the toilet it sounded like you were setting off the sump pump for the entire building and creating a vibration and loud noise. We were late for a wedding so we had no opportunity to switch rooms again and decided to tolerate it since we were only there for the night. When we took a shower we looked up at the ceiling and saw that the paint was peeling in the shower and the caulking looked like a fifth grade child would’ve done the work it looked like white toothpaste instead of a clear caulk that would’ve blended in with the dark tile instead they had a bright white caulk that contrasted sharply with the dark tile. Don’t call to check and ask us how our second room was after we checked in and we were never offered the famous signature Doubletree cookies when we checked in. We have come to expect very good experiences with Hilton properties but after two Hilton Double Tree experiences in the Chicagoland area this property and also the Wit hotel downtown a couple of weeks ago, we were less than thrilled.
