Bellini's Ristorante & Bar

Great ideas often occur in the most comfortable of settings, and Bellini's is no exception. With that in mind, in 2008, after discussing ideas over a bottle (or 2) of wine, the concept of Bellinis was formed. Come relax, enjoy your own glass of wine among

We always enjoy Bellini’s food and the atmosphere. It is a beautiful quaint restaurant(even though very noisy)with nice bar. Our last visit shocked us a little as we paid $17 for a Makers Mark Manhattan....maybe we are wrong, but that seemed steep....we will enjoy pre dinner cocktails at home next time:(Thank you for taking time to leave feedback and brining this issue to our attention. I do hope that this issue was corrected before you left Bellinis. I do apologize as we should have been more attuned to any issues listed on our guests check. We hope to see you back at Bellinis in the very near future. Let us know when you stop in so we can discuss.

We were there to celebrate. The restaurant is nice and looks nice both inside and outside. We were seated promptly. And drinks were provided promptly as well.My nephew was disappointed as he orders San Pellegrino for most celebrations and they bring him a glass along with the rest of the liter bottle for him to enjoy for the evening. He was miffed when he simply received a glass of ‘sparkling water’ or club soda as it was referenced upon arrival to his dismay. We order the calamari as a starter and it was tender and pretty good. My nephew did like it. I liked it; however I do like to taste the peppers with it for my flavor and the peppers were lightly crusted and fried to which took some flavor out to me. We then had a Caesar and house salad respectively and I can say that the hose salad was delicious and the best thing I ate on this evening. It was fresh with the lightest, tastiest dressing with wonderful veggies.A couple of us had the scallops and shrimp skewers and nephew had the filet. The filet got top reviews as he said “it is so freaking good”. The scallops were over cooked and not tender on two plates; the shrimp was better. However, we did expect more after reading so many good reviews. We had dessert too which was bread pudding and the lemon lava cake and consensus was they were ok. They were both heavy breaded and they both lacked the sinfulness you want when you get dessert. I quickly thought “I will save a few calories tonight” lol.The last thing was my sister paid and she was not happy when the servers and everyone stopping at table would look at her brother for approval. They did not speak to the table but the one who they assumed was paying. And she was not happy. And I must admit it was odd.Well after reading all the great reviews, our experience left was a little hollow.Choices!

Fleming's Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar

Fleming's Birmingham, AL is an ongoing celebration of exceptional steak and wine. We are located at the Birmingham Summit near Vestavia, not far from Homewood, Downtown Birmingham, and Hoover.

Staying at a hotel near to the Summit Mall I decided to check out Fleming's for Happy Hour after seeing their ads on Facebook. They advertise starting at $6.00, keep in mind that only one appetizer is prices at $6.00 and that is olives. Most of the wines are at 8.00+ and many of the appetizers in the $10.00 range. Even though I self parked the valet attendant walked with me to the door and was very welcoming and held the door open as I entered. I entered the restaurant and was immediately greeted by the young ladies at the hostess stand, all nice smiles and very welcoming. After telling them I was going to the bar they directed me towards the bar.I took a seat at the bar. The televisions were tuned into a basketball game on ESPN. The bartender greeted me immediately, his name was Justin. Justin asked if I needed a menu and helped put it in front of me. I found the Happy Hour page. Ordered a glass of Seven Sinners Cabernet, yummy good wine and Prime Burger. Justin asked if I would like some bread which I replied yes. He also served a glass of ice water. He was very professional in his service. Food was served quickly. Burger cooked as ordered, a perfect MR. Nicely seasoned and served with cheese and bacon. The lettuce was iceberg and two weak slices of tomato. Obviously sliced way ahead of time they were juiced out and a poor excuse for a slices tomato. Why not slice them to order and make it a real slice of tomato. All in all it was a decent burger. Justin did well to offer a second glass of wine and when done suggested dessert. He was very professional and utilized my name when presenting my check to me after seeing my name on my credit card. He was very professional but could have done more to turn on the hospitality.Very nice ambiance and overall atmosphere at the bar. A review of their last health inspection showed they scored a very good score of 97 on 10/10/18, Showing that management and employees do well to insure a safe food handling environment.

Texas de Brazil

Texas de Brazil, is a Brazilian steakhouse, or churrascaria, that features endless servings of flame-grilled beef, lamb, pork, chicken, and Brazilian sausage as well as an extravagant salad area with a wide array of seasonal chef-crafted items.

We went to Texas de Brazil and expected the Green means Go treatment like other Brazilian Steakhouses we have been to, around the country. Unfortunately green meant No Go! We sat and waited for meat but they never came around, or they would skip our table and go to the next. I even put the GREEN on my forehead and still nobody stopped by to bring the meats! Thankfully there was a salad bar otherwise we would have left more hungry than we arrived. Thanks to our wonderful waitress, Kelsey, she realized when we asked for the check, that something was wrong. So she asked her manager, Kylie to come talk to us. We explained what was going on and she apologized profusely. She also made things right, and turned a horrible dinner into a not so horrible dinner. As a chef that’s what makes a huge difference in a restaurant, the staff who show they care. To all the upper management at Texas de Brazil in Birmingham, these two should be highly commended. Kelsey and Kylie are good people and need to be recognized! You definitely need to work on the Green means Go part of your restaurant though. I’ve never left a steakhouse still hungry until last night.

My son and daughter-in-law took us to Perry's for our 40th anniversary celebration. The evening was wonderful, service impeccable and food delicious! My steak was cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth. Divine! My family loved their steaks and pork chops as well. I really appreciated the gluten free menu and the attention taken to making sure my meal was safe for me, as a celiac, to eat. I loved the atmosphere of this restaurant, comfortable yet elegant. Also, while there is a pleasant buzz you can hear only the conversation at your own table. I look forward to returning to Perry's many times in the future. 5 stars are not enough, 10 stars would more accurately express how much I loved this restaurant.
