With all the competition in Dothan, we were pleasantly surprised with just how good the food was. Generous portions at reasonable prices, Tried the fried green tomatoes, tasty but cut a bit too thick IMHO.BBQ was very good.Food was served quickly and accurately, something that some area restaurants seem to have issue with.

Traveling through Alabama, my husband and I stayed in Dothan. Hungry for BBQ, we asked the hotel personnel for a recommendation. FatBack's was suggested, and it did not disappoint. What I, personally, found amazing was the onion rings. More a fan of French fries, I decided on something different, and ordered the onion rings. There were very thin with exceptional batter, and were a delightful change. Tucked away in an "off the beaten path" strip center, it's worth the hunt.

I had the half chicken plate and it was outstanding. This is the first time I've ever eaten smoked white meat chicken this moist.As sides, I chose cole slaw and Brunswick stew and both were great. I would come back here in a heartbeat and recommend it to anyone who likes great BBQ.

I was prepared to give a mediocre review because I've eaten at Dickey's before and it was just okay with small portions. However, I really enjoyed my visit to this location in Dothan. The brisket was very tender and flavorful. The meat was a nice size portion but the sides were small. Everything tasted great. The owner was present and friendly and even offered us a free sample of their creamed spinach.

Right off the main road, pull into the parking lot. The cement ramp welcomes you with a sign , go left for take out, go right for dining roomThe low ceiling, cement floors, 1960âs orange plastic table tops, wood paneling, and mounted fish! Welcome you to this Dothan fixture!Just sit down!The excellent servers will take your order and present the DELICIOUS BBQ in a timely fashion.The slaw is chopped. The fries are thick, the onion rings delicious, the rolls yummy!Go ahead order the HOMEMADE strawberry shortcake. Covered in whipped cream, One square is good for 4! After the BBQ ,you canât eat an entire piece of the home made dessert! Or maybe you can!!!Deserves a 5 for kitsch! Solid 3 on the food.
