9 Top-Rated Resorts in St. Pete Beach, Florida

April 20, 2023 Alida England

Sugary-white sand, dolphins frolicking just off shore and eight major barrier islands make St. Pete Beach a postcard-perfect seaside destination. Situated on a peninsula off Florida's west coast, it balances its oceanfront charms with top-notch art museums, including the largest collection of Salvador Dali paintings outside of Spain. Kayak through the calm waters, take a ferry to nearby Caladesi Island State Park to experience the state's wild beauty or stroll the rapidly gentrifying downtown for one-of-a-kind cafes.

Our waiter Daniel was a wonderful server. We’ve ate at rum runners a lot this week and the food has been amazing. He is a hard worker and stays busy. Even when it started raining he was there to take care of us.

The beach attendant Fabian was incredibly attentive, kind, informative, and made us feel welcome / at home. Everytime we came out we were happy to be greeted by him and he knew us by name. Loved the beach, chairs and the room was clean and homey. But, I’d say Fabian was the highlight of the stay!

Restaurants and a Tiki Bar on the property. All the staff were great. Tall Tom at the front desk at check in and check out was the best. Very friendly and helpful.

The Hotel Zamora

The first new hotel to be built in St. Pete Beach in decades, Hotel Zamora is a white-washed Mediterranean palace that though breathtakingly modern feels anchored in a bygone era. Inspired by the architecture of its namesake Spanish province, the hotel's striking Romanesque facade is the framework for expansive luxury suites with "balconies overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway and Gulf of Mexico," stylish dining and the laid-back leisure of Florida's fashionable Tampa Bay.

Hotel Zamora nice… beautiful hotel

Staff was very nice. Service in restaurant was slow but food and drinks were great. Just felt like a lot of $$ and then small things like beach umbrellas weren’t available, tons of undercover parking and they park our cars in Florida sun. Went to get food at the bar at 9:30pm on Saturday and they couldn’t give us anything said kitchen was closed. Beautiful place tons of potential but worry they got hit like so many in hospitality withe the pandemic.

I would have given 4 stars until the last night of our stay and lack of follow-up

Reviewed By MirandaChekoudjian

The location and price of this hotel was great! It is right on the beach and right across the road from Publix if you want to stop and get groceries. The drinks and food at the beachside bar were decent although nothing spectacular. We got a room with a balcony with the idea of having the door open at night, however this was not possible due to the sliding doors not having a screen. My only major issue is that on the last night of our stay my husband and I found a bed bug in our room. He went down to the front desk to let them know we would be leaving early and asked to speak with the manager. There was no manager on at the time (about 5:30 / 6:00 pm) so we were told to call back the following day. He called back the next day and was put on hold. Eventually someone came back to the phone and stated the manager was busy and that they would call us back. No one has called us back to discuss the issue. I didn't expect them to do much but following up would have been nice. This lack of response means I probably will not reconsider staying here in the future. We did overhear someone saying the hotel had just been bought out during our stay so maybe that has something to do with the lack of response / lack of cleanliness.

Now if you do not care about that stuff and just looking for a place to sleep and get up and party the next day then this might be the right place for you. The price is not worth what you get but its on the beach and the beach is nice.
