We knocked on the guys door. No answer. We'll likely check out today if we can get a room at the Hampton Inn next door.

Room without a window, no breakfast, historic but lacking
Reviewed By Tyme4relaxingThis hotel is historic, the lobby is beautiful as is the outside. It was built in 1929. There is a parking garage with some covered parking available. Our room 2013 was on the second story. The elevator is very quick so watch your children and your hands. My biggest concern was our room didn't have a window. I always think about a fire hazard and that concerned me. It did have a sky light but there was no way you could get out of that. The shower was nice with a rain shower head. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. There was no breakfast, just a store bought hard muffin and a cup of watery coffee. There must have been a school group or something staying because we could hears kids running and fooling around outside our door in the hall way. The staff was nice, recommended a great place to eat, Jamie's. I had to sign a waiver that I wouldn't get on the roof. I don't know what that was about, I didn't see anyway to get on the roof. We came, we stayed, we left. Nothing really more than average.

This place was awful in nearly every respect
Reviewed By R579CUjamescDon't be fooled by the photos - this property looks nothing like the pictures. The pool is filled with mold and closed, the sidewalks are littered with beer caps and cigarette butts, and there are bugs everywhere - inside and out. The "free continental breakfast" is a dispenser with stale froot loops and corn flakes, a shared gallon of milk and a shared gallon of Sunny-D. Our room had no hot water - they wouldn't move us, refund money, or fix the issue - another guest in our party had no shower handle, and a third room in our group had one of the guests wake up covered in bug bites - The daily "room cleaning" is a guy that smokes while he works, delivering two towels to each room - no other cleaning was done. The bathrooms were FILTHY, and every room in our group had roaches. We were so disappointed - and the family running the place couldn't have cared any less. They wanted to argue that it wasn't their fault that we had no hot water...and they only grudgingly offered to take $5 off our bill for the inconvenience. Beware - the pictures and reviews were from years ago - this place has fallen into major disrepair.

Reviewed By Brian GWe were riding motorcycles in the rain and cold all day. Best deal! clean, dry, and warm. Good buffet in the same parking lot. Covered parking just for Motorcycles was reel nice. Everyone that worked there was friendly. right on the main road getting out of town, so that was nice for travelers.

Sketchy looking... don't be fooled though
Reviewed By 528marylynnkThere weren't any cars at all around the hotel when we arrived, thought this might be a dump and we would need to find something else....well, listen, desk staff (the night clerk) was sooo nice and friendly. The room, suite with separate bedroom was clean...not the newest establishment, needs a ton of updates HOWEVER it was quite, it was clean, no stains on furnishings (bonus) and the bed was comfy. Breakfast was super...made ourselves 2 bacon filled biscuits and hit the road.
