Increased Price/Decreased Quality
Reviewed By 612glendarMy husband and I have stayed at this hotel the last several times we've visited Biloxi. This time was probably the last. The approximately 50% price increase was in line with the way the prices of everything have increased, so expected. The serious decrease in the hotel's quality was most definitely NOT expected. Upon check-in, we were informed that there would be no maid service, since that is provided only every three days and our stay was for exactly three nights. We'd have to put our dirty towels and trash in the hallway and request clean towels if we needed them. We also learned that our "balcony room" (extra charge) faced the back alley. The first night there was no hot water when I showered, and other guests were yelling in the hallway. Second day - after going out for a few hours in the morning, we were unable to get into our room because our key cards had been set for only one night. I had to hike all the way from the main building to the office building to have the cards fixed. There was no apology for the inconvenience, just "they probably just made it for one night." That night, there was more yelling in the hallway - and again no hot water. This time, I decided to wait and hope for hot water the next morning for a shower. However, there was still no hot water the next morning until after 7:00. There was even more shouting/screaming in the hallway that night. In addition to the hot water issue (learned later that water heater had been malfunctioning due to the ingitor not working), the tub drained so slowly that I was standing in ankle-deep water when I showered. In addition to these issues, the TV remote was junk and didn't work about half the time. At check-out, there was no "thank you for staying with us" or "how was your stay?" All I got was "here you go" as my receipt was handed to me. I will give compliments in a few areas: very pleasant maid when I spoke to her to request towels and coffee packets and when she delivered them, decent breakfast selection, comfortable beds, fairly clean in all areas, felt safe (even though there were homeless people hanging out at the hotel's perimeter), convenient location.

Motel was packed with disaster relief workers and the smell of marijuana was constantly wafting in the parking lot and in the hallways, the door to the pool stayed propped open the whole time so any and everyone could come and go so what is the point of key cards for security!! We went to walk our dogs in the back and it was one big party back there with marijuana in the air and drinking. The next morning when we walked our dogs the beer bottle caps littered the whole area along with empty condom wrappers! (At least they used protection right?!!) The food they were cooking in their rooms stunk up the whole floor and was sickening as you walked down the hallway! The toilet seat was broken upon arrival, it was like riding a bucking bronco trying to wipe!! Tv only has 25 or so channels. There is no coffee pot, blow dryer or shampoo or conditioner, ($2.25 out of the vending machine for a sample size!) Motel is across the street from the beach with very little partial view.. VERY OVERPRICED AT $150+ per night!

The Super 8 is located off of I-10 exit 50, we are in the north-east corner of the intersection with easy on and off. We are centrally located to a lot of what the coast has to offer. We are minutes from down town Historical Ocean Springs were there are plenty of unique restaurants and stores for everyone, minutes from Biloxi’s sandy white beaches and Casino row, minutes from plenty of shopping and dining area’s and some of the coasts golf courses. At the Super 8 you will have a warm southern greeting.

Reviewed By 11182017I’m not one to EVER leave bad reviews, but everyone deserves to know. The bed was awful, the room smelled, there were stains, and “breakfast” was useless. Don’t stay here. Save your money. We wasted ours.

Reviewed By dwalke405518the rooms were tacky, bed was very uncomfortable, key cards didn't work, tv didn't work they had to come and hook it up. I wouldn't even take a shower in this room. Had extra night stands just sitting in the middle of the room.

Reviewed By Captain IThe only thing I found good at this hotel was the staff. I had to pay casa for a pre-paid room because they were changing management. The card reader wasn't working nor was the printer. I finally got a room and noticed that it looked clean after a long drive, it wasn't. The showerhead had only one setting and had no pressure. The only other redeeming factor is that it is right next door to the Krispy Kream Donut shop. I would rather take my chances sleeping on the beach than get a room here again.

Reviewed By Cgannxray20Rooms were clean but the beds were a little hard. Hallways were loud. The pool was over crowded but it was nice that there was one for small children as well as a hot tub. The hot tub was barely lukewarm and DIRTY. Bugs and just plain needed to be cleaned. I was bitten/stung by some kind of water bug at least twice.

Definitely the best bang for buck in the general area. Only concern is that some rooms appeared to be in-progress of updates, so make sure to request for an updated room at the front desk.

Reviewed By MLaf0ntThis place was horrible. Of course the pictures and reviews we read did not match up with what was there. It was dirty and I didn’t want to touch anything in the room. We couldn’t cancel because they do not refund under any circumstances. The place needs to be deep cleaned and updated. I will never stay here again. Examples: the room was a non smoking room smelled the smoke, the lavatory was dirty, the bedding and carpet were both very outdated as was the TV. There was something on one of the walls that looked like blood. I really don’t think i need to go on.
