Reviewed By KrystinesrWe really enjoyed our stay and actually there isn’t a lot to fault, there is always some room for improvement but in all honesty this hotel is exceptional from the varied and fresh food to the cleanliness and attentive staff. Good location with some nice local restaurants within walking distance if you want a break from the hotel restaurant. We had a drive to Malaga city (40 mins away) and also Granda (60 mins away) If I was to be picky our junior suite was ready for a refurb but the size of the room, comfy beds and a spotless daily clean outweighed the tired decor. I was disappointed that you didn’t get a Mini bar or tea and coffee facilities when you pay for an all inclusive package (it’s an extra cost) especially as we had upgraded to a junior suite. We all agreed we would stay again and would recommend to others.

Reviewed By Viv MWhat can I say. Stunning hotel in a stunning location with fabulous staff. Rooms were amazing. Beds so comfortable as were the pillows. Bed linen and towels were lovely and soft. Free parking and Wifi. Restaurant on site with fantastic food. Continental breakfast. Would highly recommend anyone to stay here. Views are breathtaking although the road up is a little hair-raising.

Its 79 apartments that make up the resort have air-conditioning, free wifi, a spacious living-room with satellite TV and a modern kitchen equipped with oven, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. All of them have balcony and wonderful views to the Mediterranean Sea. The apartments also have outdoor swimming-pools, solarium with sun-loungers and sunshades. The Apartments are an excellent base for trips to interesting tourist places that are very close: Nerja (10 minutes), Malaga (half an hour),Granada’s Alpujarra (an hour), and Granada (an hour and a quarter).

Reviewed By postmannickWe visited the Hotel Costamar from Saturday 29/06/19 till 06/07/19 Checking in was quick and the guy doing the checking in was very helpful My Spanish was as good as his English but we managed to get through this process quite easily . He explained that the reception was not 24hr and we had to leave a 5 euro deposit for a pass card to get back in after 11pm The room (201) was as basic a room as i had ever seen there was no kettle ,no cups and very little cutlery The bedding and towels were changed during our stay although we did have to change the bed sheets our selves which was strange The towels were left in the bathroom in a heap The room was not swept during our stay The air on was absolutely superb and was well needed Didn’t watch the TV mainly due to not having a remote control We used the Hotel as a base for our days out and we found quite few excellent bars and restaurants in the local area the best of which was Manolo’s this bar is situated on the Paso The free WiFi is very hit and miss and keeps logging you off so you have to keep logging in which can be a pain

The facilities and services are and a perfect atmosphere to rest wtih a family, friends, couple or groups, in summer time or all year, enjoy the best temperatura in all of Europe and fun activities and excursions along Torrox Costa. The recently refurbished Urban Dream Torrox Costa has 77 bedrooms between three floors with 45 doubles/twins rooms, 25 triple rooms, 6 cuadruple rooms and a great junior suite overlooking the sea.
Worst hotel ever stayed in
Reviewed By kayroseLeighOnSeaWe stayed in this hotel for one week 6th October. The bedroom was cramped with two extra single beds, with a poor view of an opposite hotel room. The food was the worst breakfasts we have eaten with the fried eggs being bouncy for fried or crunchy for scrambled. The bacon was all stuck together. The fresh fruit was non existent on most mornings with tinned fruit served. One morning I waited for eggs for half hour and gave up !! The staff were pleasant but had little English, so we didn’t complain to them. The bar on rooftop was water logged in the rain and stank like a men’s changing room. The bar had a full snack menu, but when we tried to order had only two items available!! They placed a net over air conditioning unit on the roof, trapping several pigeons who flew into the net, which we found upsetting. Apparently no pigeons died and were all freed. The hotel have said that they have lots of good reviews!! I’ve not seen many. They did not feel the need to apologise for any of the above !! The staff are pleasant and helpful when they can understand you , but the hotel is definitely not 4 star. Only stay here if you are prepared for basic accommodation and terrible breakfasts. Even the front glass window is cracked!!

Superbly positioned right on beach
Reviewed By willn732Because we live a 3 hour drive from Malaga Airport My wife and I ( we live in Spain) decided to stay just one night before our flight at the SR Santa Rosa hotel el morche(Torrox). What a lucky find it was. We were very pleasantly surprised and very good value for money. We opted for dinner B&B. The room was direct sea view, very pleasant decor if a little dated. Lovely bed and linen, great WiFi, nice bathroom with bath. The room was spotlessly clean. We decided on a drink on the pool terrace area, again a little dated and tired though the pool was small but lovely. We had to get our drinks from the reception bar, (excellent red wine at just 2€ a glass) the only downside access to pool terrace outside and down the side of the hotel. But so worth it to lounge almost directly on beach. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our meal in the evening was menu del noche style due to covid restrictions it was a limited choice but the food was delicious and the gentleman who served us and took our choices from buffet was really nice. We ordered a bottle of red at just 12€ a bottle great quality and to top it off we sat on the outer terrace directly overlooking the sea. We both had a good nights sleep and because we were leaving before breakfast serving times they kindly handed us a bag if breakfast goodies to take with us. All in all we had a much needed relaxing night and with hotel only 35-40 minutes from airport so much nicer option than the dreadful soul less hotel airports and much better value. We enjoyed our stay so much we booked 2 nights for our return from uk. Can’t wait!!

Great location and building but poor quality bed and noisy neighbours
Reviewed By lizinrutland2016The Hotel is very well located and attractively presented but for 50 euros a night I did not feel I had value for money. My room 104 was lovely and quiet with a little balcony and clothes line but the bed never gave me a good nights sleep. There was nothing between the sheet and mattress with springs sticking into my body. I suggest they change that bed and also provide quality toiletries and tea and coffee tray. I had a kettle and had to ask for a mug and spoon. The owners were pleasant but I was not offered any meal options or even milk for my coffee. The mug and the washbasin were not cleaned during my one week stay but the bed was made nicely. The larger terrace at the back is lovely and I spent some afternoons there in the shade reading, but unfortunately the neighbour has bad lungs and his coughing and spitting was horrible...he may not be there next year. The Pueblo is a lovely place and usually very calm and friendly.

Christmas break
Reviewed By archiosStayed here Christmas 2016 Really good sized 2 bed apartment. Kitchenette equipped with hob, microwave and fridge freezer. Pleased to find upon checking in that it was beach facing with a lovely large balcony and table and chairs, which we didn’t expect. There were two good sized bedrooms; a double with en-suite and then 2 singles with the 2nd bathroom next to them. Both bathrooms had their own bath and shower. Layout of the apartment means that 4 people can comfortably stay there without ever feeling like they’re living on top of one another. We did note that there was no air conditioning, which may well be a problem in the summer. They had some portable heaters dotted about the place for if they were needed, so presumably they may bring in fans for when it gets too hot. Understand there is a pool as well, though this wasn’t open in Dec. Apartments just a short walk along the sea front to the rest of Torrox Costa. We would definitely stay here again out of season, and would request this apartment again if we did. I won’t reveal the number here else everyone else may want it!
