Convenient 9 night stay
Reviewed By Monika T2 Couples stayed in a Chalet. One room had a double bed, the other had 2 bunk beds. 1st bedroom had a/c and fan, bunk room had neither. There was a/c in the lounge/kitchen area and that helped the couple in the bunk room. Beds were comfortable. Chalet was clean. It was missing a TV remote but management managed to source one for us, which we were very grateful for and actually amazed that they could get another one - it's not as if there is a large electrical store in town! Also, fridge shelf was missing, but again management quickly replaced. The kitchen was adequate - microwave and stove top. Limited utensils but we managed with what was there. No microwave dishes, apart from crockery for 6 people. All crockery/ glassware was new and matched. We found management were generally good at taking care of any extra needs that we had. A fly swat would be welcome addition. Very convenient to access either end of town - everything was walking distance. We were on the road front road and we were concerned about traffic noise, but this was not a problem. The pool area was lovely and clean. WiFi was free and fast and didn't seem to be limited

Really surprised
Reviewed By 49difWe have not stayed here for a couple of years and in my last post I wasn't happy, but we decided to try again that was for two reasons, price fantastic compared to other parks the second was position, perfect if heading up north, we stayed 2 nights with absolutely nothing to complain about, Capricorn is very clean,quiet and safe I have no hesitation in recommending this caravan park and will return again.

Nice caravan park but dated chalets
Reviewed By limeclawThe chalets were dated, but large and roomy. The bedroom had a very comfortable bed, good bedside tables and reading light, plenty of storage space and a good working air conditioner. The bathrooms were very dated, but clean and functional, but some area’s needed maintenance. Good lighting, a nice quality hair drier and good supply of towels. The kitchenette has a large fridge, stove top with rangehood, pots & pans. Toaster & kettle, microwave and a limited supply of crockery & cutlery. The lounge area had a nice two seater and nice large television and a separate air conditioner that worked really well. The outdoor area, table and two chairs and own BBQ and parking was right outside the chalet which was very convenient. The chalets were good for a short stay, however needs some maintenance. The shower head and the basin tap continually dripped, it did not matter how tight you shut the taps they water just continually dripped. The bathroom door did not shut properly and you continually had to force the door shut. There was an uneven tile in the bathroom floor that jutted out and you continually scraped your foot on it as it was right in the door way making it a trip Hazzard. The dining table had chip marks and gouges in the table top, it is quite polarising when you first look at the table and quite off putting, and surely that could be patched up some how so that it does not look so awful. My only other gripe is the scant availability of crockery and cutlery – only the bare minimum was provided, one plate, one cup, one glass per person. What is you needed another plate to serve food on? Or invite a guest over for a meal? And continually washing your one mug or one glass is actually quite annoying and the only place where I have experienced a one place setting per person in a chalet? The park itself was well located. Two beautiful pools, plenty of laundry rooms with good quality washing machines and driers, iron & ironing board. Great communal facilities that were very clean, the park was well set out for campers and caravaners and plenty of BBQ’s and loads of on site parking. Overall, it is a very nice park, just the chalets need a little TLC. The staff we encountered were very nice and accommodating.

Park needs upgrade
Reviewed By irijoOne dryer per laundry - two in the whole park. Absolutely ridiculous when the park is full and it’s raining for days. Plus the heat is turned right down so nothing dries properly. Bathrooms have no hooks or proper stands in the showers so everything gets wet or drops. Bathroom floors are filthy and constantly wet and slushy and need more cleaning/maintenance. Nice position over the road from the beach but a really tired park considering what you are paying. A bit disappointing...

Old school grassy sites with shade plus great staff

Check-in was straightforward, the site assigned was good (we’re tenters) & amenities were very clean and though not totally modern, were renovated. A couple of nights the recreation room was opened with a big screen TV to show live AFL games which was well attended. Camp kitchen was a slight weak point being small compared to other sites of this size with few facilities and a small fridge freezer for the size of the site. Possibly a reflection of the number of caravans? All in all though a good stay apart from having one really noisy neighbour, a family, all seeming to need to shout to each other even though only a few feet apart. Not the campgrounds’ fault, but why do some people at campgrounds think they’re surrounded by brick walls when under their caravan awning?

Avoid if you want a pleasant experience
Reviewed By SammieInitWe stayed here for one night. We had originally planned on another site but due to our friends booking here we decided to book here too. We were considerably late due to unforseen circumstances (vehicle engine problems) on the way. Unfortunatly due to lack of phone service we could not ring and advise them of this. After a stressful journey here when we finally arrived happy to get some sleep we were met by an extremely rude small blonde woman who proceeded to give out to us for arriving so late, that she had to stay up and couldnt go to bed(didnt even ask why, also dont see why when it was paid and all we needed was to pull in and hook up, no help from her) , attitude from her about how 'the deal was one camper not two'. Two were booked and payed for under seperate bookings (which she didnt even enquire about before giving bad attitude). Once she had done her giving out to our tired and stressed group she swanned off without another word. We slept till the morning, used the shower facilties( not the cleanest), packed up and left not before receiving dirty looks from this female again as we pulled out. I would not recommend this place and would not stay here again as it really took some enjoyment from our trip.

Flushing toilets make it better than your average free camp.
Reviewed By NIH777Camp fire places are provided but you must bring your own firewood or buy some from them. This is despite an abundance of firewood lying around. Hot spa pools are available but they appear more like cesspools. You can only assume they are safe. The camp barbecues do not heat enough to cook anything. They need to be replaced. The tip walk that you are invited to view is just an example on environmental vandalism. Clean it up.

Fine for a stopover
Reviewed By SoretoesWe stayed in a unit as a stopover on our way north. Contactless checkin worked seamlessly. Rooms are fine for an overnight stay they had everything we needed and the camp kitchen is close by. Linen and towels are well worn but this didn’t bother us.

Needs a lot of work
Reviewed By 18Loudhave been coming on and off for several years for long term stay. Dont complain about people speeding or riding motor bike across the lawn or having to call the Police to attend Domestic violence issue cause you will be kicked out, with no response except my way or the highway
