Reviewed By victoryahother than no hot tub, the place was great. close to Laconia and many restaurants. breakfast was good. the pool was clean. I don't know if it was new, but it really looked very new. it had a nice gathering area by lobby with breakfast food in the next room.

Clean & Quiet on 3rd floor Breakfast was avaible and was good. A Diner is real close by….close to freeeay and out of heavy traffic of the towns. Needed to attend to family matters at hand. I am lucky to have stayed here. No hassles with any hotel matters. I was able to concentrate on what I needed to…stay here and you’ll enjoy the stay fully…

Reviewed By Culture16683374307Go elsewhere . We stayed here because it is pet friendly. It is not even suitable for dogs! We arrived at 5 pm and the first impression of the place was sketchy. Our room was located in the rear and the back area was littered with broken furniture and garbage .The hallway was not vacuumed and stunk . Bathroom was not clean and bugs were on the floor. The following morning we got a cup of coffee which was lukewarm and tasted like septic sludge and free breakfast not worth it. Turned on tv to watch news and power went out . Room and hallway pitch black - no emergency lights. No power no shower. We left because no one was at the front desk but decided to return as we had forgotten to return key card . We asked for a refund and for manager . Daughter behind desk spoke no English and went upstairs to find parents cleaning rooms in the dark. Whereupon the owner said no tip? I said where’s my refund ? STAY AWAY. Hampton Inn same price(250 a night) Better service just no pets!

A nice, relaxing place
Reviewed By nehikerThe cheapest place in town if you get their smallest ``European style" room,. The smallest rooms are very basic and small by American standards, but about double the size of some rooms in other developed countries. It would have been nice if the room had a chair and/or some hooks on the wall to hang some cloths. Great view of the lake from the office/breakfast area and the deck. 24-hour k-cup coffee machine with some snacks. A very nice continental breakfast: bananas, oranges, apples, OJ not from concentrate, yogurt, oatmeal, and various pastries. The owners are very nice and accommodating. The desk is not open 24 hours, but they give you a handout with their phone numbers to call.

The Anchorage at the Lake is located in Tilton, NH just 3.3 miles from I-93 on Lake Winnisquam. This family oriented and pet friendly resort is located on over 30 acres of land and one mile of waterfront. There are three private beaches, a huge sundeck, beach volley ball, boat slips, a floating raft, free use of kayaks and canoes, horseshoes, weekly bonfires, family entertainment & more! Each cabin features a screened in porch, charcoal grill and picnic table. Cabins are very basic, cabin style camping. There are no frills however each cabin does have a fully equipped kitchenette, bathroom and shower and the Anchorage at the Lake does provide all necessary linens & towels. The Anchorage at the Lake brings families together in its back to basics nostalgic charm.
Perfect Family Getaway

To be honest other reviews were discouraging and I was honestly nervous about our trip. Happily all my nerves went away when we walked into our little cabin. It was so cute and clean we had a fridge stove sink bathroom it was amazing. It was perfect for my family of 3 plus our furry family member. We were provided with pots pans utensils a toaster it was perfect. The only thing that I would critique is the beds, if you go bring some extra cushion with either a comforter or a sleeping bag etc. The property was beautiful and we can’t wait to back during the summer to see what else they have to offer.
