Reviewed By GreenbakersThe new owners had just taken over the day we arrived. They were very friendly and helpful, couldn’t do enough for us. Walking distance to supermarket and restaurants Rooms basic but clean. Great for a stopover. Would stay again for sure.

Reviewed By marcopolo1964Domaine Lamartine is your dream French country B&B. Historic building, Period rooms. Lovely views over the countryside. An inviting pool. Friendly local (English-speaking) owners. Peaceful nights. Homemade jams at breakfast. Tons of things to do and see in the region. It has it all. We passed through on the way south, but next time we'll stay longer and use it as a base. (we were there just after Covid confinement ended, and I can assure you the owners take all the necessary precautions.)

The Domaine Céladon is a mansion who used to be run by the Verriers family in the 19th century. Ideally located at the crossroads of 4 French departments and 3 regions, near provence & the ‘gorges de l’Ardèche’, 12 km away from the highway A7 Bollène exit. The u-shaped building, sheltered from southern wind brings together a protective and a peaceful atmosphere. The spring water, the basin, the fountain and the pool with a stone edge are all places where you can re-energise peacefully. Recently, the estate was restored in an artistic and genuine spirit.

Very nice place, cozy yet spacious rooms and super location
Reviewed By Doc_CoqWelcome was nice but clearly lady of the manor is more open than the man of the house, who is more functionally oriented. The rooms are clean and quiet, bathrooms somewhat small and need modernising. Surrounding area is magnificent for walks, kayaking, canyoning...all to be recommended. Breakfast was good and local, with wonderful fruits form the garden. Nice if you can add eggs etc and more refills as and when needed. Pool was ok but noisy with wedding guests and rules about no drinking/eating clearly for the tourists, as not respected by the local guests... Surrounding area well recommended. Feel that price to quality is not really that good, as this is not cheap and perhaps relying too much on the location, which is no doubt a lovely building...but not worth hotel prices.

Plus points - located in the centre of town. Private garage. Minus points - small dark room. Broken fittings. Peeling paint. Scores out of 5. Location 5. Host 4. Room 2. Facilities 1. Value for money 1.

Lovely and well run establishment
Reviewed By nw05250I rode through this area on a long bicycle ride from Spain to Norway and couldn't have been happier with my decision to stay here. Set in wonderful grounds on the outskirts of the town this delightful hotel has it all. An accommodating and welcoming hostess. Large light filled rooms that have been tastefully decorated. A breakfast fit for a king and a tranquil garden in which to sit on a peaceful warm spring evening. Add to that a lovely small swimming pool, It is a 20 minute walk into the centre of town where this is an abundance of dining options for dinner. If I am ever back in that part of the world I would definitely stay again.

Soulless adequate place, but nothing more
Reviewed By Traveler07649We chose this place based on TripAdvisor's reviews and were disappointed. Place is not bad, but very average. Facts: Pierre is very friendly person Bed linen, room and bathroom were clean. Additional pillows were given to us at our request. Our room Oiseau had minimal furnishing: bed, 2 bed tables, small writing table and 1 chair for 2 people. Toilet and bathroom were separate and toilet didn't have sink, so it would be more convenient to have them combined. Bathroom didn't have even single hook or space to put chair to place towels and clothes while taking shower. WiFi didn't work in our room. Breakfast comprised of bread, croissant, butter, jams, coffee/tea. Everything except hot drinks - were on the table outside from early morning and there were a lot of yellow jackets which were sitting on the croissants and in the bowls with jams - not too appetizing. Place is located just about 300 yards from highway - you can hear noise from it almost whole night. You can also hear the train which is pretty frequent - not sure why some people said that place is very calm. In addition, during our stay owners had no less then 4 (four) not overly friendly dogs which scared me to death one evening surrounding me and barking with no owners around when I came outside to find out why WiFi is not working in our room. After couple of minutes someone showed up and called out dogs, for me it was extremely scaring experience. When one stays in B&B it is expected to have not faceless room, but some nicely appointed and furnished place and some common place - not here. We travel very extensively in France and very seldom you meet B&B like that - owners just didn't care at all, they provide you clean bed and bread with butter and jams with yellow jackets, but don't expect anything else.
