Service Could Be Better

Our first room had a plugged tub. We went to the front desk and the man said, "What do you want me to do about it?" He insisted to inspect it. Once there, he couldn't fix it. We then switched rooms across the hall. They didn't have any forks at breakfast. They have waffles, wrapped pastries, cereal, milk, orange juice, and coffee. It is a old, safe and clean motel. We would rate it higher if treated more respectfully.

Stay

Reviewed By katepV2479IJ

The common area includes wonderful 24/7 amenities such as coffee, a full kitchen, laundry, and an extra bathroom. We stayed in room 7, which is the King Suite at the end of the hall. The size of the suite is impressive and made our 2 night stay very comfortable in terms of space for 2 adults and 1 child. However, in terms of sound privacy and comfort, the facilities did not meet our expectations. The king bed is very lumpy, and felt more like a fold out couch mattress. It also retained a lot of heat and I found myself very warm eventhough both minisplit thermostats were set to 68 degrees F. In terms of sound privacy, there was none. As other reviewers have mentioned, the walls are "thin", and the floors and walls are creaky. We were able to hear the conversations and television programs in the room adjacent to ours. I assume they would say the same about ours. In addition to sound carrying through the walls, odors did as well. There was a constant and heavy odor of marijuana coming into our room. I wish I could say that I would stay here again because I really like the location and town. But some major structural improvements (proper partitions between adjacent rooms with insulation, sealing air gaps, etc) would need to be made at the Inn in order for me to consider another stay.

Worse motel I've ever stayed in ever in my life.

Reviewed By Ashandjon528

My husband, 2 kids and I stayed this past Friday night and it was absolutely terrible. Over heard the housekeeping lady telling another lady they were out of clean sheets that she guessed they would just put dirty ones back on the bed. We found pot on the floor and a pot roach in the recliner. I don't think the floors had ever been cleaned, the blankets and sheets had spots all over them. There was people hanging out in parking lot all night...my husband stayed awake most of the night worried someone was going to bust our door down. Our kids cried begging to not stay there because they were so scared. They have a double wide trailer sitting basically in the parking lot. The room smelt absolutely terrible and my son almost had a asthma attack because of the mold and mildew. There was no tv channels. The worst experience in my life I wished we would have slept in the car somewhere safe than this hotel. Beware its not what it looks like online and the worst 117.00 I've ever spent in my life. I honestly don't know how they are able to run a business so poorly.

Met our need perfectly!

Stayed here overnight on our way to Florida. Room and stay worked out great. The air was a bit humid and musty, but we fixed the setting on the air and I think it took of it. Breakfast was a bit weak my husband said. I brought my own food and ate in the room due to dietary restrictions. B & J's steak and seafood is the place to eat, said a local I met while dining at Spartina Grill (which was good, just that it was raining, so being on the waterfront/park wasn't what it could have been)
