This 4 star establishment is the pride of the whole town and offers immediately a sense of comfort and well-being to the visitor. One notices the friendliness already at Reception and then later again in the Restaurant Vizconde (Viscount )Valdesoto where the dishes served pay due homage to such high name and whose reputation now stretches far beyond the county limits. Ample breakfast buffet with main meals served at table. Hotel totally renovated between Dec. 2010 and Jan. 2011 of 40 rooms and suites in the centre of Biar, a picturesque town built on the slopes of the Sierra Mariola hills of great natural beauty and extensive pine forests. 45 kms. from Alicante and 8 kms. from Villena with very good access from the Alicante - Madrid (Villena Exit) dual carriageway. Rooms offer air-conditioning, heating, satellite TV, minibar, telephone, safe, free WIFI connection and full bathroom with hair-dryer. Enclosed parking, free for hotel guests. In our hotel pets allowed.

Reviewed By HughE_13The hotel is well-situated, with large comfortable rooms BUT we arrived mid-aft with 10C outside and NO heating in the rooms, nor in the bathroom despite heated towel radiator [but no water in the system]. It came on around 19.00 but requested extra blankets anyway. Guess Covid has played its part in lowered standards. Lack of staff, too: the receptionist had to double as barman, running up and down the stairs as bar on floor below. Dinner was atrocious and certainly not worth €18, which was the same price they charged for a bottle of so-so tinto: outrageous! My vegetable soup was nice and warm, but what they billed as pork [could have been anything] was cold, ditto the meagre offering of vegetables - straight from a tin - although the chips were warm, so ate them. Those who chose the tuna also said it was inedible and the thin steak didn’t look appetising. Apple pie appeared to have come from a fridge with 3 wizened pieces of apple on top of stodge. Not a happy experience! :-( The restaurant staff were friendly and hard-working but would have liked to speak to the Manager! Certainly NOT a 4* hotel, although understand they gain that ranking due to having a small pool and a spa.

Good place to have lunch adjoining the old Church
Reviewed By Ken CWith two friends, we were staying for 2 nights at a nearby Hotel, but as we didn't find the Hotel's lunch-time Menu to our liking, we went for a walk and stumbled across La Fasana. The Waitress was very helpful and attentive and we had a nice lunch plus wine. Please note that food is not served in the Restaurant section, until 14.00 hours. Wheelchair users may experience problems accessing the premises, because of the steep streets, but the staff were happy to assist.

Reviewed By Ann RNice hotel, just a short way outside Biar. Large room with a balcony but not sure if any other rooms have a balcony and lovely lounge outside bedroom. Evening meals are provided if you give them a days notice and the food was very nice. Drinks available on request. Lovely old building with lots of outside space and the added bonus of an outside pool.

Extremely pleasant Hotel.
Reviewed By Roger COur sat nav insisted we had arrived when we were outside some derelict buildings on the outskirts of the old town of Biar. After 30 minutes searching a very helpful local plumber got in his van and led us a mile further down the road to a small turning on the left. We had arrived! The Hotel is beautifully situated on a hillside with great views. Lovely shaded outside seating allowed us to enjoy a much needed drink. The rooms were not large but clean and perfectly adequate. The food exceptional. The staff spoke excellent English, certainly far superior to our own efforts in Spanish.

Reviewed By gloriagC8116WUEstuvimos una noche; las habitacione están bien, el espacio que tienen es muy amplio, la piscina está muy bien situada. No hay ninguna carretera así que los niños pueden jugar tranquilamente. Muy buen trato por parte del personal.
