Reviewed By danielbG9908HPThe Hotel Pontet was the perfect base for our 3 day visit to the Dordogne Valley. The staff at the hotel was helpful and gracious and the petite dejeuner was worth the money. It was a relatively short but fairly steep walk up the hill to visit the grounds of the Chateau Beynac and see the incredible view along the Dordogne River, beginning directly across the road from the hotel. We were fortunate to be able to park in the 3 space free lot owned by the hotel throughout our trip.

Great food and service in an amazing location
Reviewed By Keith_RichmondWe stayed 2 nights at the hotel. Dimitri was very welcoming and we enjoyed our stay. The room had reversible aircon which was good as it was quite fresh outside. Otherwise the room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant in the hotel and location right on the Dordogne were the high points for us. The food was really good and to walk along the Dordogne after breakfast was a joy.

Lovely Spot in Beynac
Reviewed By janebarnes74Book this charming place for a wonderful home in Beynac. We stayed in the small outdoor building and enjoyed the window view of Beynac, hot air balloons and gorgeous roses and irises blooming all around us. We had access to the laundry services in the mail house and enjoyed that while traveling.

Beynac central
Reviewed By Daniel GWe stayed only one night, as the room was small for our tastes and comfort, the shower even smaller. But reasonable at €55 tax included. Our room faced the cobblestone street in the middle of Beynac, a charming village, with a must see medieval castle at the top of the town. There was a place to park across from the hotel, but there were only two reserved spaces—so I’d reserve that ahead. They served a breakfast, but we didn’t try it. The reception does close early, but there is a door code they can give you. Best to make special arrangements in advance if needed.

Don't make a booking mistake
Reviewed By porkchop2018I made a mistake on the dates when booking through Expedia and contacted customer service after 5 days of trying to contact the hotel to correct the booking Expedia Customer service sent me an email stating they gave up trying to call the hotel. I then emailed the the hotel and asked them to correct the booking they replied that I would have to cancel the reservation and re-book resulting in a $110 Cancellation fee. They don't answer their phone and when contacted were not helpful. Not happy and will book my 3 night stay in another hotel in the area. Their lose.

Une très belle demeure, la vraie vie du chateau !
Reviewed By Q3263HUinfoVraiment une très belle demeure près du chateau. Une vue splendide sur la Dordogne et tous les chateaux environnants. La très belle piscine était très fraiche et non chauffée. Dans le jardin nous avons vu deux couleuvres faire la danse d'accouplement. Une expérience étonnante, mais à noter pour les peureux qu'ils s'y trouvent.
