Short Trip to Grand Canyon & Sedona

We are so happy we found this place to stay. It is in the Village of Oak Creek, but was quiet, clean & comfortable, and a much better value for the area. The room was well appointed-refrigerator, microwave coffee maker & iron. There were several restaurants close by-an opening at the back of the property made for easy access to a grocery store & the Red Rock Cafe(delicious). We had a long tour scheduled for one of our days so we bought some juice, fruit and breakfast items to be heated in the microwave. They had a nice pool & hot tub. On the day we checked out, we had some time, so we walked to the Bell Rock Trail, leaving our car in the Inn parking lot. I would recommend doing the trail early in the morning or late in the day though due to the heat while we were there. We would highly recommend this Inn & would definitely return if we go back to the Sedona area.

A/C unit

Reviewed By Dmylod

The pool water was a little dirty and the A/C unit in the room was hard to control. I woke up hot several times and I had it set to 65. Clear instructions on how to use the a/c unit should be given at check in or provided in writing in the room. The coffee machine took me a second to figure out also, but not too bad. Rooms are clean, nicely decorated, and everything was stocked.

Great Stay at Holiday Inn Express Oak Creek

What a great location! I’m so glad we stayed in this quieter area. We were close to great hiking trails (check out the Slim Shady and Made in the Shade loop— walkable from the hotel) but far enough away from the “busy” areas of Sedona. Sedona was a short (and BEAUTIFUL) drive north. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Central but quiet location

Reviewed By rwithingtonjr

On the north edge of Uptown Sedona this location is perfect. Restaurants and shopping are short walks away but you can also drive up Oak Creek Canyon on 89A for fantastic hiking and swimming. We were there for 6 days so we stayed in a cabin unit with a living room with small kitchenette. Our door and big windows faced into a wooded area and we were well away from the road and was so quiet. The bathroom is small but it and the bedroom had been recently renovated and everything was super clean. Becky and Barry were terrific and made sure we had what we needed. When we checked out, Barry took some time with us and showed us 3 of the other rooms. They were newly and tastefully renovated and those rooms had views of the massive red rock cliffs that define the town. We will definitely go back.
