Not as good as the restaurant
Reviewed By Ian14_11We had a room in the annexe across the street. The rooms are a bit small, but the bed and pillows were Ok. In the first room we had the plug was stuck in the sink, so we got another one. The receptionist was very nice and handled it well. Then, the WiFi did not work. The bathroom was small but functional. Breakfast was disappointing after the excellent dinner (see my other review of the restaurant). No hot food, and not much choice of cold. The bread and pastries were good. The hotel needs to do a bit better to bring it to the standard of the restaurant!

Reviewed By coupleoneThis is a simple hotel with a kettle in the room which is a bonus. Very small room with a shower and toilet. The room is for two but you have to take turns moving around. Very comfortable bed and clean room. Quiet overnight. We had to go into town for the evening but would have loved to have eaten at the Hotel. The menu looked tasty and good value. Breakfast was delicious with some yummy breads, fresh fruit too. Covid compliance very good and sanitation of communal areas was constant.

Reviewed By Kingfisher1807Four of us where staying nearby for one night en route to Spain. It was Monday and few places were open, so we took a punt on this restaurant. So pleased we did. We all chose from a fixed 27€ (I think) menu and all started with a soufflé with tiny lardons. We all said it was brilliant. A great start to our meal. Then came a faux filet (sirloin) and boeuf bourguignon (so tender and bursting with flavour) cooked in a local Pinot noir. We drank two bottles of the same wine - very good and excellent value. The other main was the faux fillet (sirloin) cooked rare and also very good. Our hard-working waitress/proprietor ( we assumed) was brilliant and charming.

Reviewed By 3mhowardComfortable and well located hotel with friendly service. Fairly spacious room, very quiet. Being on the second floor with no lift requires some effort with luggage but the staircase is wide. Plenty of space to park right next to the hotel in their private car park.

Property is conveniently located in the centre of town with the rear garden situated on the fortress wall or Remparts. Rooms consist of one room with bathtub in bedroom - La Romantique, one two room suite with countryside view - The Remparts, One ground floor large suite with private entrance - The Diderot, One large room with city view - La Dorée and the original master bedroom with panoramic views - La Royale. Fresh squeezed orange juice, fresh fruit salad, bread, mini croissants, raison pastry, ham and cheese, espresso, large selection of fine teas available every morning. In the warm months, guests enjoy our large rear terrace for drinks and light dinner service. There are five parking places in courtyard in front of house, one corresponding to each guest room at no charge.

Free parking closeby which is not trivial when staying inside a city. Nice room with all comfort. And in the morning a breakfast that surpasses anything we ever got in a B&B in France. Served with a smile. Nobrainer : 100% recommencded
